There should be no problems moving them out side into the aviary. I did it only a few months ago with Latte and Scooter as they were stopping me from taming Cookie. As long as the weather is not too hot and not too cold for the first few days they are out there, there should be no issues. If their wings are clipped, just watch as other birds may pick on them a little.

I didn't get any from the nebs meeting - they dont sell it as they dont want to get in trouble if anyone messes up the dose I hope the oil treatment is working well

Looks like a heavy moult to me. You will see pin feathers pop though in the next few days and within a week or so the patch should be covered

The stripes on the cap (forehead) help tell age, but some baby budgies dont develop dark stripes This baby is only 5 weeks old and has almost a pure white cap

Budgies don't just "sit" in the show cage, they need training. your best bet probably would be to join a budgie club and go from there. (if your not a member all ready that is) i don't know if they let some one who is not a budgie club member show budgie or not

I think you will find that the cuttle fish has not been eaten, bit just pulverized. Budgies tend to play with it rather than eat it. I dont think you need to worry about calcium overdose - they were just playing

I am so sorry for you losses It sounds like you did everything right to keep them cool. My only suggestion is that the floor of the aviary or the feed got wet and caused bacteria to grow and make some of the birds to get sick. When i spray my aviary on a hot day, i have to spend all evening cleaning out the floor and giving fresh feed

I know how you feel. I love to see my birds fly too, but its so scary when they fly into things or out open doors So my birds tend to stay clipped.
