Breaking up the pair can be done by removing one to another cage etc. If they are in an aviary and being colony bred its a lot harder. You can break the pairs bond by removing the hen from the aviary and put her in a cage with another cock for a few weeks. it takes around 2-3 weeks to break a strong bond and form a new one. then when they go back in the aviary, she should have forgotten all about her brother. if you do not want the eggs to develop, throw them away , that is up to you

Siblings is not a good idea  Half siblings is okay in some cases, but full siblings can cause genetic issues. Full siblings are only normally used by experienced show breeders when they know the extended genetic makeup of the birds. If the eggs are not showing fertility, it would be a good idea to break up the pair.

Your Idea
I have been taming budgies for a good 15 years. i tame differently to many members here as i use a more forward approach. I tame my birds by tunneling them and by handling them a lot. i get their trust by holding them frequently. they are on my shoulder when doing house work. I sit with them while on the computer. They watch telly with me etc. I have 4 tame birds inside who all live together and they are all happy to sit with me and play around. Time, persistence and patience is the key. Also get them used to being grabbed. There are times when birds have to be grabbed and if grabbing is not included as part of the taming process then they will freak out when they do get grabbed. I grab my birds every day and they are not bothered by it at all. If they know you wont hurt them, even when they are vulnerable, then they will have no fear

Whats Wrong With My Budgie?
Could be french moult - french moulters have a lot of trouble keeping flight feathers and tail feathers The bleeding is from broken blood feathers. budgies can bleed to death from these so care must be take to remove the broken quill from the wing and then stop the bleeding (white pepper is a very effective coagulant) Also... their cage is not idea ... Take a look at this link ---> http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=17858

My New Birds
things like psittacosis can be transmitted though a single loose feather. (which is why i reccomended quarantine for hills) As far as i am concerned quarantine is vitally important for the over all health of the flock. One carrier might knock out your best birds and create a huge setback - and in the long term, it's not very long time. Even the best breeders can get it wrong. i have heard stories about breeders that say their birds are "clean" and "safe" to put straight down breeding... then to have the birds make the partners terminally ill and die Its just not worth the risk. Not to mention that psittacosis is contagious to humans....

Moving A Inside Budgie To A Aviary
I agree MB, my two went into the aviary with their wings clipped - just got to watch for the first few days and make sure they are not getting picked on as they wont be able to get out of trouble like a bird with full flights

Another Boy Or Girl Query!
My first thought was a recessive pied.... I think i can see an iris ring so might be dominant pied. Can you post a picture of his wing markings
