Great minds think alike I have baited the traps with raw kangaroo mince You have raw kangaroo mince ? GET OUTTA HERE ! What do you cook with roo ? What does roo taste like ? PLEASE DON'T SAY CHICKEN ! I haven't eaten Kangaroo in a long time. I'd say its like very rich beef - not my favorite. Some Resturants serve it as stakes and pies and stews mostly. I perosnnaly don't think its a very nice meat. Some love it, and its great as pet food to - lets just hope it attracted and killed that nasty RAT!!!!!

  10. Mine stay quiet through a full moon. We have street lights that light up our yard so they are used to a light night
  11. I have a tiel who gets blood feathers when he moults too. I am trying the moulting aid at the moment to see if this improves the blood feather issue I will be interested to read what you learn from the others
  12. Personally I do not breed in the cooler months and winter. I feel it is too risky for the eggs and chicks. I use the cooler months to rest my birds and get them in top condition for spring

:fear It's one thing to have rodents running around eating bird seed, but to be killing birds, that is NOT ON!!!!!! I really hope you get that murderous vermin before it does any more damage!!!!!!
  21. Well thats a no brainer Congratulations!!!! :fear
  22. I just took two birds last week to the vets with suspect psittacosis - They had dark staining above the cere too. - Frankie looks more brown rust, almost dried blood colour to me. By birds had dark blacky/brown staining Thankfully my birds were free from psittacosis, and only had upper respiratory infections. After talking to the vet about my birds i do not feel Frankie has that illness. For one the eyes are clear and clean. The poos are not a bright green (are they??) and the bird is looking well other than the stains, which to me, look like stains from something that has transferred into the feathers from rubbing etc. Upper resportory infection
