  1. I love Realestate.com It is really good for looking at houses in your area to rent or buy
  2. **Liv** replied to maesie's topic in Aviaries
I have 7 tiels in my aviary with 35 budgies. There are no fights between the budgies and tiels.... even with any new birds i introduce. So from my experience I would say, go for it, and put them together I find budgies and tiels to be as bossy as each other hehe
  3. YAY!!! moving out!! What a big step! I moved out of home when i was 18... and moved straight into a rented unit with my finance (now hubby hehe)! It said no pets, but i still managed to convince the land lord to let me have my aviary and turtle - and i had a few rescue animals that he never new about too hehe. Land lords basically want to make sure their house and land stays in one piece and dosen't get trashed by big dogs etc. Make sure any rental you get is clean and that all the appliances work. The problem with renting is that if something dosen't suit you, or dosen't work, you cant do anything about it until the land lord approves and pays for it. I had a friend who had no oven because the land lord would not get it fixed (she moved out and it was still broken) etc..... Just be careful. Good luck and i hope you find something that suits your needs!!!
  4. White rings means girl got any pics ????
  5. Both Kaz and Libby are fantastic breeders!!! If i lived in WA i would get ALL my birds from them
  6. Move them into fresh air, put a large cloth over them and stick them anywhere you can! - a cloth will keep any airborne dust at bay temporarily. Make sure you let the fumes leave the cage air before you put a cloth over them. Edit.... they should be fine in the same house.... Just Cover them up tightly to stop any dust
  7. I agree.... move them quick smart!!! what about in the cubby house????
  8. Sounds like you are giving Molly a wonderful life I bet she is very happy with you - well done

  14. I agree with Norm. It just sounds like they are going out of breding condition - nothing to worry about. Pictures would help confirm this

  16. Lara and Sam strapped into the flying machine. She punched in the coordinates into the control computer, then she took the controls and gave Sam a cheeky grin. "Hold on" she said. She pushed the red button and the engines roared, the flying machine vibrated, and they both got pressed into their seats as it took off. Sam tried to scream, but they were traveling so fast that no sound came out. He tried to turn to look at Lara, but the G forces were to strong that he couldn't even move. The windshield in front of them shined a blinding white before all of a sudden everything went black! "Lara?" Sam cried. "Yes?" Lara replied, unshaken. "Did we just take off, or did we just die?" "Take off? What do you mean? In thoes few moment we traveled to the other side of the Milky-Shake-Way, and we have arrived on the planet Green Cheese - I told you this machine was fast" She giggled. Sam looked at the black windscreen, not seeing anything of this new planet. "What now?" Lara jumped up excitedly "Lets go check it out....."

I am bursting with excitement!!! Anyone would think Christmas is coming hahahaha!!! I don't have a travel box... I will see if i can get my hands on one beforehand. I am planning on going early... it goes for 3 hours so i don't think i will be able to stick around the whole time. Budgies for $10.... Thats chap... are they likely to be pet types or show types???
  18. Thanks Denise and Maesie They are doing really well inside. Cookie and Scooter are best mates. Latte and Scooter don't get a long very well and she tends to ignore him, but Latte and Cookie get a long really well too... Poor Cookie, he is in the middle hehehe. Cookie's reward for keeping the threesome running smoothly is he has taken ownership of the special swing I made for Scooter hahahahahaha

I am really excited. There is a bird sale on in the Barrosa this weekend, and I am going!!!! It is my first bird sale and i am hoping to get a nice budgie or two Any tips for bird sales??? what are the prices like??? do I take cages? Will the birds be better quality than a petshop??? What is the set up like (its held in a large show hall)... etc etc etc... Any info from your experiences would be great
  20. So sorry for your losses :budgiedance: Respiratory infection creates a dark stain above the nostrils in the feathers. One of by males had it a few weeks ago, i had plenty of time to take him to the vet. It knocks him around a bit, but dosen't seem to kill over night. My boy had 10 days of antibiotics and he is fine now. I do not cover my aviary in the cold. I like Kaz's blind idea I agree that they get used to the cold nights. But if the weather changed suddenly and your birds were not use to the cold, they could have died from exposure. :dbb1: I hope you find your answers
  21. Thanks guys!!!! It was such a surprise!!! I am one who never wins anything - Trust Latte to take the spotlight hehehhe Latte is gorgeous, and she knows it too!! Here is her 15 mins of fame!!!! :budgiedance: Latte and her brother Cookie :dbb1:
  22. Hello and welcome I hope you enjoy it here with us :budgiedance: :dbb1:
  23. Not normal. still cinnamon, just darker brown which almost looks like black, but not :budgiedance: . I have had it happen to mine too. When you put him next to a normal, you will see that the colours are different :dbb1:
  24. He is moulting which is why he looks like he does. :dbb1: he is getting darker as he moults Just had a look at the full picture... YES A BOY!!! i was so busy looking at his colour that i didnt even notice his face. :budgiedance: He has moulted all his baby bars out and the feathers you see on his wings that are darker than the others are the new feathers that are coming though darker than the baby ones.
  25. WOW!! Very nice!! :budgiedance: I look forward to seeing what her type is too :dbb1:
