Hi and a big friendly welcome Frisky is a stunning violet! your camera must be excellent to catch those colours!
  6. First ones a sky blue greywing Second a YF1 cobalt greywing Welcome to the forum :budgiedance:
  7. No Lacewing is a sex-linked gene, fallow is a recessive gene :budgiedance: I don't aim for best show type mainly pretty birds of all different kinds and mutations I totally respect your self control on sticking to your own seleted types Ikon, that i'm sure, must be very hard when there's sooo many gorgeous mutations and mixes around
  8. Of course Phoebe :budgiedance: Pancakes at 6 weeks old! dwarf lop x netherland dwarf "apparently"

  10. Not that i'm aware of neat, but remember fallows have a concerntrated body colour section on their rump, where this bird only has suffision

It should give you directions on the bottle usually i think it says hold about 40 cm from the bird and spray, trying to avoid eyes, although it can be easily washed out if irritation occurs... make sure all food and water sources are removed from the cage before hand and that the perches and cage itself is also treated with the spray
  13. You wish jelly fish :)!!! Frodo may have a little Sam, smeagel and Golem on the way to join him if his parents do well
  14. Very cute! i love the name godzilla!!!!
  15. Very cute!!!! My first ever budgie charlie got out that way when someone left the pegs off her doors when they were six :rip:
  16. Congratulations! well done on your first and totally successful hand raising!!! It's by no means easy to raise them this way! i should know! Can't wait to see pictures of the little beautys!!!
  17. Nope, no showing for me anytime soon feathers I just like the look of the buffier birds and wanted to try the parents to see what i got as they're both gorgeous in my eyes Thanks for pointing that out about Precious, she doesn't generally hold her wings that way when on a perch, only when flat foot because she was on a towel... in the other pics on the shower rod with the rest of them u can see how she holds them
  18. I'd take him aslong as they're not asking for you to sell a kidney or anything

Oh i want him!!! Throwback set up a room i'm coming to visit He's absoloutly stunning!
  20. cinnamon chicks have plum eyes instead, here's one of mine as a bub
  21. Yes it makes a HUGE difference... for the big fluffy birds for the sperm to get in it needs a clear path or can be caught up in the feathers around the vent... it's only minor pain for them and is over in a few minutes An alternative is to trim feathers around the vent - Before - after Without this i would never have my gorgeous fallow bub Frodo
  22. He's cutie! i can't offer any professional opinion as i, of yet don't know what to look for myself
  23. okay well here's an update for all those who wish to see the progress of my first try at show sized chicks... All four are now fully frown and running amock in the aviary, enjoying their "youth" - Phat tony (sky normal cock) - The Fonz (cobalt violet Yf1 hen) even though she doesn't look it without flash you can see her faint white face forming - Frodo the Fallow! Not sure on sex yet... - And my absoloute favourite, Precious! (sky violet opaline hen) - Precious' back, how's it looking ? - Group shot without Phat tony... he was being a sook The group, you can clearly see how Precious is a sky violet here compared to her sky normal brother Phat tony.... Can even see The Fonz' slightly yellow face Let me know how you all think they turned out
  24. She must feel she's lacking in calcium and protein i guess :S?
