  1. you'll get all green split blue and ino Only get blues if the lutino is split blue already IF the hen is split blue you can get 50% of all blue offsping being YF then whatever factors they're masking/split for...
  2. he is a yf1 lacewing or fallow unles the yellow face it jsut a tinge of light or something? Do you have any pictures of his rump to help confirm fallow or lacewing? Is the yellow bird definatly hen? cere seems male like?

  4. 1. How do you keep them healthy? Good diet and conditions that they're kept in! 2. What medicines are used? Depends on the sickness, try to keep sulpha on hand for the most common illness, "poopy bum" 3. How do you keep the cage hygenic? - Clean it atleast once a week or when needed, washing it out with hot water and disinfectant, then leaving it to dry in the sun 4. How do you feed them and what do you feed them? Budgie seed mix, leafy green, vitamins minerals... Check out the FAQ's for these4 answers 5. How do we know when they are breeding? - yours shouldn't be breednig until atleast 12 months old so don't even contemplate that yet 6. How do we get to train them to get in the cage and get them to talk? - generally only males will talk... to teach them to the key is patience... and ALOT of repeating yourself!!! Taming them is another matter, check out FAQ's again Oh and welcome to the forum! glad to see you're doing your research BEFORE getting your birds!

    Bring the mother and the babies inside into a seperate cage... she'll keep them warm or else you'll be needing a brooder/incubator to do it
  19. Yes we do Kaz . What amazing painting, do you paint for a living? A living? huh!? god no!!!! i get frustrated enough doing one! that's why i don't draw anymore aswell... Paintings sooo much easier... i have a great mentor with pictures though... a friend of my dads does portraits of alot of things, he's even done one fo my deceased dog for me... his names Clive Quinn... google him, you may find a website on him... although he's sick atm we found out two days ago he's had a heart attack! but he's doing okay now Hahaha birng on the Kidneys! i can MAKE people save dying kids then All the art enthusiasts in the world will only hold one kidney, muahahahaha!!!     Yes, baby quails are very suseptable to the cold. it basically totally shuts down their whole body i'm sorry for your loss, and hopr the little one pulls through. When we have a chilled quail we have to provide him with alot of care before he gets back on his feet. He may also have some brain damage from the lack of oxygen they get whilst "half dead"
  22. It may not be beak and feather, and could be just an over grown beak... perhaps take him to a vet, get a quick test and if it's clear for that bring him home, if not.... maybe euthinasia?
  23. A big black poo is not a good sign at all :S It happens when the body is eating itself, so that probably means the blockage is still there :sad:

Since there's been a few topics of late of peoples artwork i thought i'd add some of my own recent ones... i'm not as good as the rest of you so here's 2 i finished ages ago and one i'm halfway through at the moment - a horse i did all in Paint - a horse on the sunset done in paint and chalk pastels - and what's going to be my two lorikeets (kiki & lala) in a bottlebrush tree, so far only kiki is done
