  3. Gorgeous bird Be careful with the two perches being next to one another, they can get their legs caught and do some very bad damage :s (even as severe as a break) Perhaps try getting him on single wider perch from a hardware store? ? or a big thick log from a tree
  4. Well you already know three are hens it's just the normal blue we need to sex now
  5. looks absoloutly fine
  6. Looks like a greywing opaline.. But i can't tell if green series or Yf blue... I have a Yf hen that looks similar to that colour, and although looking green/ yellow is infact a blue series just remember the greywing opaline bit :budgiedance: easiest thing
  7. Probably fluffed up :budgiedance: although Perhaps you got some bubs bigger than the parents don't stress, it's natural
  8. Sprinkle seeds all over the ground... and in the plate.. seeds in the nest before they come out will be good also.. it'll start them pickingPhotos will be good :)If it's the same as the cage above i should be fine for 6 birds, presuming you're not breeding
  9. We'd really need a picture... dimensions are hard ot imagine for individual cages... By the looks of them they'll be starting to fledge soon... Put some seed in the nest box for them to pick and when they come out, scatter some on the ground for them, with greens also Would you be planning to breed in this cage with all the birds and tame some babies? as it probably wouldn't work well :S?
  10. There's a trick to it... sometime the sex still eludes you, but you can get a good idea
  11. Who cares if it was a speech it was a well deserved one... to very friendly ears.... Aww she was misinformed then I wonder what the elephant was called then...? You should become a Motorvational speaker i think that job would suit you very well!
  12. Then your opaline, lutino and albino are all hens and the blue i'd need to see a picture of the cere?
  13. albino lutino and opaline are all sex linked genes so They take the same amount of difficulty to breed into a bird... the blue normal is slightly easier to get BUT it all depends on what adult birds you own some of them could be easier for you to get, what are the parents By The Way? it may helpw ith sexing your birds?
  14. okay the albino is the totally white bird with red eyes... The creamino is the White bird with red eyes and a yellow wash over it The yf2 opaline is the bird with the yellow head and blue body with The oddly marked wings ( those markings are opaline) and the blue normal is the blue with black wings Hope that helps
  15. All depends on if you wish to breed them do you have pictures of your cage, so people can see if it is an appropriate size for your birds and as for which ones to keep, that all depends on your personal preference
  16. *libby* replied to **Liv**'s topic in Budgie Talk
Spade for scraping and high pressure hose No fuss
  17. You have an Albino, a Creamino a Yf2 opaline... maybe another gene thrown into that aswell and the last bubs a sky blue normal
  18. Thanks guys It's a negative on that one Liv I'm keeping that bird P.s. it's a hen because it's cinnamon from a split cock remember :feedbirds: cinnamons one of the top mutations i like
  19. Pictures aren't working for me sorry!
  20. As some of you may know, a while back i bought some birds off KAZ. Well a few of them were put down to breed almost immediatly, so i though i'd update you all with some pics of the breeding birds and some of the babies we have in the nests atm... Currently we have something like 27 babies in nests under 3 1/2 weeks old so here's a few of them and their parents. Pied cock) - An opaline Spangle - Cinnwing opaline spangle - opaline spangle Dom Pied http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff16/1libby/a1.jpg - Two more little plum eyed bubs from them and a Foster from Mars (he's the one at the back :hap:)* it's a cute photo, but had to be a link... too many photo's*
  21. The chicks take Best to warm/slightly hot food... If the dad is only feeding the ones who come to the entrance of the box to meet him, try feeding the other ones who miss out warm formula... I prefer to use a syringe for this with a hot glass of water to keep it's temp in Nearby... If it's warm on their beak, they should take to it... so Hence keeping it constanlty warm with the glass of water to rest the syringe in
  22. Do you know how to feed chicks? or have any food on hand?
  23. Mum was six so that would've made it 1961 or 1962 I think... If my maths right... She had a photo of it somewhere... But atm after recently losing my grampy her childhood photo albums are in a bit of a muddle :S If she finds the picture i'll get her to give it to me to upload :hap: She said she's pretty sure but i've not had a chance to talk to Gran.. as she's now in a home I'm guessing it was tricia... unless Gran and Grampy gave mum the wrong name all these years
  24. Aww that is horrible facts :S I'm glad to see the big hairy boy's doing well another gorgeous picture there Mum definatly said she rode tricia, i'll check with her again tonight... and perhaps my gran also, depending on the age mum was when she rode it
  25. good camera! Tricia * (sorry for the spelling before ) Is as gorgeous as i remember her!!! My Mum got to ride her when she was a kid mums 53 Now days I haven't been in a few years, is the HUGE diabetic orangutan still there?
