*points at the cage above* I love it! My only issue is that for plane travel I would reduce the height and not have perches in it that way if there is turbulance or something like that they will not get jolted off the perch.

Oh Honey, so sorry to hear about this. The only thing I can think is that the cage was not big enough. I watch my guys in the avairy and take the pairings from there and have never had an issue. Or I put one cock in with 3 or 4 hens and see which one he picks. I wish you the best for the rest of the breeding season, sorry to hear your guys are being little buggers.

You know when you sit at the back of the plane and you can hear it a bit more and also there is alot more movement? Well it is like that.

I have one who's nails get so long they curl and she has perching issues, gave her a cerment perch and she looks after them fine. Elly I agree with the pet concept. Everytime I take a bird to the vets they trim their nails (and charge you for it) most birds are good about keeping their nails trim it's the older birds you have to watch.

Elly I never found it to noisy I guess you could hear the engines a bit more but that was about it.

When my little one was not getting feed then I put him in with Dad for a night and no issues. Just watch them, taking the older ones out for a bit and letting the younger ones catch up is a good idea, just don't take them out for two long.

Alot of the time Animals are kept in different compartments then the luggage. I know when we traveled with Horses I use to travel in the same compartment as them, it was a little on the cool side but other then that I was fine.

You could always go knock on their door and say that you can hear their birds in their back yard and you are looking at getting a bird do they have any for sale or do they know of a breeder. They can't get upset with you over being able to hear the birds. But as others have said if you have done everything you can think of then you need to walk away from the situation as heart breaking as it sounds.
