  4. Thank you Jimmy, I just hope they turn out good. I have 2 breeding cabinets stilling, 6 babies in one and 4 in the other, can't wait to finish and clean it all out. But the babies in those nest are really looking good.

Father a outcross This sky blue spangle is the son of my white df spangle and mum sky hen an outcross Hope you liked
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum, is that Niki in your avatar, if so he looks very nice
  7. I have been talking to Andrew and he bought so many birds because, It was kinda buy this many for this price. I guess he will go through them one day and work out what is good and what is not. He is already feeding them probably but just wanted to know how show breeders feed them, for example what extras do we give them. He has a few aviaries with other parrots, so he knows how to look after his birds. I just thought I might put my 2 cents in.
  8. These 2 are full brothers, mother is a violet cinn op (full sister to the violet and father an out cross. more later
  9. I used the violet cock on 4 different hens this year and he produced quite a few nice birds including the sky and violet cinnamon opaline hens above. His brother has 3 nice young birds. I haven't actually done half brother half sister yet, I tried but cleared eggs same with father daughter but hopefully next year. The violet, old picture His brother, old picture The white df spangle has chicks from 3 different hens. The related hens were the best chicks by far. Good luck with yours Dean. A few more birds, This cock who is still going through his first moult is from a related line, he has 2 grey green opaline sisters, actually I think they are violet green. All nice cobalt yellow face opaline
  10. Dean are you talking about the sky cinn op spangle hen. If so she is full sister to the white boys but I can put her with her dad (yellow df sp)or her white nephews (white boys) what do you think. Ooops I know what you mean.. okay I can put the violet cinn in too as she is heavy flecked, those 2 hens have the same dad but different mums. That sky cin op has a really ice sister too who is sky cinn , she on the cards. too Thanks for that idea. I am going to have fun next year becaus eit will be the first time that I am going to be putting cousins to cousins, really excited. That say that's when you breed your good birds. Lets hope lol
  11. Exciting a little jelly bean.
  12. Thanks Jimmy, haven't bred the birds I want this year though, but i have a few goodies, I out crossed to much but next year, will go back into my line and hope things improve.
  13. Mother and father (Great grandparents) son with mother of their offspring (grand parents) sons daughters grandsons will do more tomorrow. night.
  14. Thank you Matt, Yes I need to work on the flecking but what was wierd is that the violet cock only has light flecking and both sky hens I put him with were both clean, but i got heavy flecking. DF factors yes the third one doesn't have the feather the other 2 have or the height above the head but he is still very young so it might come. That line is late bloomers could take until his second moult. But he still has the same genes as the other 2 so he might be handy to keep.
  15. Thank you Matt, she is a nice hen, petty she is so heavily flecked though. I have given up on the emotions. This white Df sp is from my winning white df spangle His brother This one is brother my winning one white df spangle This hen is half sister to the winning white df spangle, she looks **** all wet. I am really excited about the next 2 birds, their father is a grey full brother to the violet. They are only 5 weeks old. They are big birds with wide heads. grey same bird. sorry he wouldn't sit probably, I took him ou of the nest for these photos. when he blows he looks stunning. mauve opaline more later
  16. She is going good Kaz. Can't say she is pretty but cute in a way. Which we good have some of that feather on our good birds it would be wow.
  17. Great bet you can't wait. The way I am going my birdroom will never get finished. On hold until after Christmas. I decided buying seed 200kg and 30 kilos of Jap millet and new tyres for my car was more important. But I will get there. Good luck Jimmy.
  18. The blue in the green will mostly moult out and visa versa. But you some times do get patchy birds. Last year I put violet hen with a light green hen and all chicks were cobalt and dk green and the cobalts had green below tummy and the greens had blue below the tummy but they moulted it all out with time.
  19. Oh I remember now, bet you can't wait to start again when you get all set up again. Thanks Jimmy This is sky cinnamon opaline daughter of my winning violet, mother a sky blue Violet cinnamon opaline, daughter of my winning violet again and mother sky blue but different hen than the one above Violet green cock son of my yellow Df spangle, mother a dark green spangle an the green above is from my violet hen. okay I will see if this works and do more soon.
  20. Awwhh cute chick Jimmy is that one of yours. I just sent you a message.
  21. Jeepers I am with Dean, 100 birds at once that's a lot. If you are interested in joining a club, I would say your closest is the Riverina, they are loccated in Barooga. Send me a message if you are and I will send you some phone numbers for you to contact them. Breeding aide is great for the birds when breeding gives them a boost plus helps the hen from getting egg bound. I use it every year. As for colours If you planning on showing, I wouldn't worry to much about colour, I would work on breeding the bird, so putting your best birds together. If you are only pet breeding just do anything. In the water I use calcivet a couple times a week. Vitamins etc. I give my birds true grit and PMV with added probotic or what ever it is ( pigeon vitamins and minerals, it is a pink powder very cheap, you buy it at Hunters in Shepparton,) Where did you buy your birds from if you don't mind me asking.
  22. Yes wouldn't that be good, I know someone that does, $500. - $2,000, maybe a bit cheaper but anything a little decent starts at $500. and maybe even more than $2,000 if willing to pay. Wouldn't it be nice , I thought I better not name names but any way I think some of my birds are better than his. But I don't have a name yet. Probably never will lol
  23. Done all that Dean, I thought going into the picture only would work too but it's the same as the other page, when I click on the IMG code, where it should come up high lighted so I can right click, instead the word 'copy' flashes there and goes away as fast as it flashes and then when I do right click , the little page that normally comes up with the copy on it doesn't instead The lines come up, one says settings which I can't access and the two things I can access are 'Global settings'. and the next lines 'about flash player 10' I really don't know what is going on. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. That's how it normally works Jimmy but with me at the moment it is flashing the word copy and that's it . I can't copy anything
  25. I love your birds Mark.
