Here are some photo's of some of my winning birds Double factor yellow spangle who took out the young cock for beginners then went on to take out the young bird in the show for beginners and he was picked out of 3 for the Diploma young bird in whole show but by then he had enough of the poking and he wouldn't perch. But I was soooo happy with him anyway never in my dreams expected to do so well. this one is best young hen in beginners Lt Green Spangle This one Reserve young hen in beginners and she got second in her class grey green spangle This grey green cock won best colour variety in show (Grey Green) and 1st in his class not a good picture of him though and this young hen came 3rd in her class the yellow doublw factor, the grey green hen and the grey green cock all have the same dad, my wow bird that I got for my birthday last year. they are only seven months old my wow bird Hope you all like my birds

Went To My First Show This Year
okay Guys here are some of my winning birds but they are not real good pics though. The yellow double factor that took out young bird for beginners and almost the diploma and yes he does have a green sheen to his colour but it didn't matter because he has everything else. 2 pics of him because he is so stunning My reserve best young Hen in beginners Best colour Variety grey green in Show Best Young Hen in show in beginners and this hen came 3rd there are more but haven't any good pics and nearly all are moulting now becaus of the hot spell we had. The double factor cock is half brother to the grey green hen which got reserve and the grey green cock who got best colour. they all have the same father. My WOW bird that I got for my birthday last year. They are only 7 months old Father and mother of the 2 grey greens and whats worst The mother of the yellow double factor, well she is a sky blue spangle and I am very sad to say that I sold her a while ago because we didn't think she had what it takes but wasn't I wrong actually Greg was wrong not me, he makes me cull them too hard but any way she was the one who throughs the sheen because every double factor I have got out of her have all had the sheen. I ho[e you like my pics of my winning birds.

Went To My First Show This Year
Have tryed that Macka, works for a bit then he is bored, but he sat lovely yesterday so lets hope, I have another one a grey green that is worse very naughty.I was going to try out for the young bird show in May but I did a bad thing after the show, one breeder told me to go home and cut a tail feathere and then pull in out in a couple of days so they will be right for the next show because of that hot spell we had 8 of my birds lots there tail feathers and didn't go to the show. So like an idiot I went home and did it and then checked the calender and there is no way they will grow back by the 11th May Riverina Show I think and 18th May young bird show, and whats worse is I did it to all of them.Greg was really angry with me and I have been shitty with nyself since, so I put it down to experience.Silly hey I find for show cage training...if I put them in a show cage and take them for a long drive, braking and around corners etc...they learn to stay on the perch in a show cage really fast :hap:I have heard that Kas, so I must try it, more of the fact of getting them use to going out for the day and travelling, one judge told me to do that the other day. Thanks Kas Let you know how I go

Help Needed For Hen Sitting
Soory to hear about your beautiful cock bird :budgiedance: but it does happen and sometimes we don't know why. But as for your hen she should be fine, I have plenty of hens that raise their young on there own. Sometimes they do a better job with out the cock bird there so good luck with your babies.

Went To My First Show This Year
Thanks Birdluv, it was the best day, I only went along for the experience really didn't expect to win anything at all. It was such a great feeling when the judge said that I would love that bird in my avairy. So at least I know that I am on the right track now. :budgiedance: It's all soooo cool

Went To My First Show This Year
Hi everyone, haven't been on for a long time as relationship issues but things are good now. At the weekend I went to my first show for the year, it was the Kyabram Diploma Show I took along 9 young birds and I took out the best young hen, reserve best young hen, best young cock and that cock took out the best young bird in the beginners section in the show and he was picked out of 3 birds for the diploma, he missed out because he wouldn't show himself kept getting on the floor, naughty boy. I also won the best grey green for variety. It was all so exciting. :budgiedance: I forgot to take my camera. but I will try and get a picture of my winning cock soon.

Dying Avairy
That is so sad but I agree with the others, it is worth taking a dead one to a bird vet and have it tested it is the only way you are going to find out what is going on. Good luck
