A Great Lesson To Us All
I totally Agree !!!! So many people want that QUICK FIX and the put the Cost of thing before the actual health of their pets I've heard breeders give HUMAN medicine to sick birds!!!!! NO THAT WAS HORRIBLE TO HEAR I have noticed over the last 2 weeks that 100% of the Cheap bird toys are ****!!!!! They are made from hard plastics that Bird can't chew Or have Little beads on toys - That if the bird doe manage to chew can get lodge in their crops - Also 85% of toys that have bells have COPPER BELLS .. This goes to show that you pay for what you get - ****!!!

Budgie Mood ?
It is when the color is BRIGHT GREEN LIKE LIME OR PEA is when it is a issue watery like the runs too This poo is has solidness to it so I am thinking that it is due to changing of the food ... If her lump on her chest SOFT???? Please be careful when changing food - it needs to be done slowly by mixing 1 part New food to 3 parts old food and every 2 3 day increase the New food and decrease the old food .... A sudden change in diet can have a dramatic effect on a bird - Weird I know what it happens - Look at Ellys post I wish you and this bird the best of luck

YES ... Do you go to school?- How To 'start' A Compost Bin?
Here you go I remember seeing the show a while back BUILDING COMPOST PILES < --- Here Also remember that it works faster in the sun and slower in the shade Lime can get rid of nasty smells too- Breeding
50cm Deep isn't that Big ..... I did colony breeding in an small aviary which is 2m High by 1.8 wide By 1.2 deep and still had fighting issues, due to them not having enough " OWN SPACE" - So that could play a part too ( My birds have all gown up together and with out nest boxes they all get along like a house on fire ) But you do need at least 2 nest boxes per hen. And they need to be all at the same height and a good distance apart from each other .... I found that my adding thing long timber the same height as the nest boxes to the sides of the boxes game them more PERSONAL space and stop the fighting as they couldn't see each other Make sure that the timber is the same on all the boxes - I will try to post a photo some time today or tomorrow Hope it all works out for you- Outcome?
Shhhhh I will open your stored knowledge too- Important - Merlin Almost Died
I was ready to start crying when i read the tittle ... I am sooo glad that you seen the signs and KNOW YOUR POO! Thank God that it is all okay now, I hope he starts eating his seed again and not just the millet- 13 Years...

okay, I do think that she needs to see a vet. She has / Had a respiratory infection She has swelling of the chest- These symptoms combine aren't a good sign . She also doesn't look like she is molting how ever she could have finished- Do Some Opaline Markings Show On Split Birds?
is it called opalescence (sp)- Aussie Critters
Morning meditation classes- Few Piccies With New Camera
Cool - GREAT PICS settings looks fine to me Nice close ups Thanks- It Didn't Work...
Agree rest the pair - Give her some fresh Branches for her beak Don't give the birds Hard wood toys or plastic ones to chew on - ( Kaz I know that you don't do anything for your birds beaks But you do offer them fresh branches and Wood Toys to chew) Yes it can be a sign of liver disease but if she doesn't have any other symptoms I wouldn't worry about it. But if you are, speak to avian vet in your area Rest good food and a larger cage like you said and I am sure once back in condition all will be well Good luck mate- Hen Won't Lay
She may not be in secondary breeding condition ... She could look like she is in breeding conditions but her hormones or environment isn't ... Wheat grass, Wheat Germ and what ever else other use to aid in fertility & get her hormones raging again... Is this a first time Hen? Cause if they are mating and she isn't laying eggs she could have a problem with her re productive system - Advice Needed
