  3. Yes and No - There is a lot of grey area in that ... It really depends on YOU as a Breeder and your BIRD as a breeder - I have been told ( so probably a load of bollocks ) that some breeders still breed Hens at 6 years old - But yes 3 - 4 years of breeding at 2 - 3 clutches per year - If your Hen is in TOP FORM and TOP HEALTH with NO complication to raising bubs or to her self then 4 - 5 Years OLD is fine So i have been told :yellowhead: -( double check with more Experienced breeders though ) But the Fertility rates drop - hatch-ability levels get lowered ...They become more bored in a Nest box so any chick that do hatch are prone to being neglected or picked on So When you add them up it isn't worth the risk to breed over 4 years old - UNLESS SHE IS A SUPREME CHAMPION HEN then in that case I HAVE FIRST DIBS

Deb I think you have a Soft food Junkie on your hands - I honestly do not see any issues with her having a lite suppa before bed of night -But it makes more work for you .... See what the others thinks - When i said the vet it wasn't for her health mate I thought they should have a few ideas I wish you luck
  16. OMG!! How funny was those post !!! I could just see Jodie runnign through the factory to Would be nice to find out what the book was and how he looked !!
  17. I am thinking that the vet says it is cancer due to the fact of him ( the bird not the vet ) holding the one leg .. But I would say a Tumor of the Kidneys as he has watery poos and the tumor is putting pressure onto the siatic nerve .. Best to get some test done ... I am not a Qualified Vet to say this - It is only my opinion from a lot of research that i did with illness and dieases .....

  21. Hello and Welcome - It's the season for molting now I have a few that are going through it too ... I agree with Kaz - Would be awesome to see a picture Plenty of Warmth and fresh fruit and Vegs as molting can take a lot out of a bird, and they need all the good stuff to help bring out the new feathers so to speak ..

  23. Neat replied to Budgielover13's post in a topic in Breeders Discussion
Probotics are FANTASTIC for Sick birds - for Use with breeding pairs around the 1 week mark before eggs are due to hatch . and for the Nursery birds Do not use probotics whilst giving bird antibiotics as it cancels out the antiboitics
