Advice Again Please
OH GOD I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT I JUST FOUND THIS Combined beak and feather disease syndrome In this syndrome the disease is characterised by progressive changes in the beak. In the sulphur-crested cockatoo it shows as a dark, almost shiny beak, which becomes overgrown, develops a line across it, breaks off short, may regrow several times, but eventually becomes underrun with the typical rot at the core of the beak. The first feathers to be affected are the down feathers located over the tops of the legs. which fail to puff out. Patches of infected feathers extend backwards and across over the rump; at the same time stretch lines are evident on some of the primary or flight feathers and/or tail feathers, as well as on some of the comb feathers. Feathers that shed or fall out are progressively replaced by malformed feathers which often remain encased (in part, or totally) in their sheath. They often have bloodstains in the centre of the quill and often a deformed pointed quill. Most sufferers lose their tail and primary flight feathers before they lose their body feathers. Very few birds recover from the disease, the great majority of birds progressing to a bald stage—with some dying because they are unable to eat due to the beak deformity. Seek veterinary advice—but the condition is usually fatal. OH GOD PLEASE DON'T TELL ME I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE WITH IT!!!! :budgiedance:

Hey all, I have booked my 2 show birds in for a vet check i have to wait till Tuesday :budgiedance: as there are no vacant appoinments till then I asked about the mites? as there doesn't seem to be any change in their appearance - so they asked me to bring them down as she mention that it could be blood that I am seeing in the quil .... Now what does that mean - She did have the time to talk about it over the phone and now I am searching the net and can't find what I am looking for the best is what SW said Stress marks? Can anyone shed some light on this please ... I will wait for some replies then I am going to go and have a full look over the birds and use white paper so see if it is infact mites?????

My Visit To A Pet "super Store"
okay so I haven't giving you guys a story in a while, But here is one from Monday!!! I was out looking for a stupid fish tank filter ( find out now discontimued) ened up in a Pet Super store at west - I have been there a few times before and the bird seed is always low if not full of husks and next to no water That was until i spoke to the young boy that was wroking there Grrrrr So back on track , I stopped to look at the rabbits as Santa is giving the kids a mini lop at Xmas, I was starring in the cage for ages and notice in that back of the " holding pen " something ... I ask the shop assistant ( they young boy again ) if i could have a look, the stupid idiot let Me put my hands in and what have you ... to pull out A DEAD BABY RABBIT! Still little and FURLESS! Now fair enough these things happen but i asked the assistant if the rabbit was due to have her litter he said no this is them from 5 weeks ago :D :o THAT IS RIGHT THAT CAGE HADN'T BEEN CLEANED OUT IN AT LEAST 5 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I advised him that he is lucky that I had found it and not the RSPCA - I asked for the bathroom and sanitiser for my hands and left!!!!! Went to the other shop of that company and reported it the shop owner! To his so called disgust :budgiedance: So yeah that was a nice day

Such Garbage...
I get a heap, mainly the **** stuff and you have won money But i do want to share with you a few scams that have happened . It was off a Pet site they were giving away horses due to the death in the family Y ay ay a Anyway to transport them to us we had to pay $$$ upfront and they were being shipped via train ... Once this was stated we knew it was a scam so we had 4 people email and reply to the add and all got back the same replied email! Now that was a beauty! You think about it getting free animals but pay for the transport upfront That is a ripper of a scam!
