SO that i have found Hens don't get pregnant Bellys they get what what we call here Egg bum lol - Can you post pics of the birds that you are breeding / going to breed - we may be able to help you out as some breeds look like they are female but are actually male we can also give a rough guide to ages too

If that is all you can get, then try it But you may be better off with a branch that is 2cm in diameter it could be cheaper on you too .. My thought though

Messy face coming yes for sure !!!! Kaz I have noticed that they are all black beaked! Can really see why but their coloring in their feathers - and if it is true that they show black for good genes as well - this could be it They are looking nice and nicer each time i see those picture

okay firstly i would like to say I her perches what a great idea!!!!!!! I Noticed how she has Gnawed the heck out of the middle stick - okay when you are at the vets, ask for more information re: Heavy metal posioning ... She is showing alot of signs that indicate this - increased thirst and urination, weightloss, green (and she had bloody diarrhea whist at the vets). She has a copper bell, and is in a Galvanised cage - As she is a hen she is more likely to chew / gnaw on the cage I understand that an antibiotic was given what that should be given after the particles are removed, An xray can confirm that and if they are obstructing they can obstruct her insides cause her problems that look like others .....

It is their surroundings that is stopping them .... They will breed when they feel safe and happy to - Because they were fine and happy in the aviary you moved them inside to a smaller "home" Which will then make them more insure they will need to spend time making sure that things are basically okay for them to breed, so to speak, Kinda like we check out playgrounds or look for dangers before we let our kids play .... There are a few thing that you can do ... 1 Remove the others from the aviary and replace them in there by themselves ( sounds like the most comfortable for them as they were in a nd out of the nest box then . 2. Remove the nest box ( or block off like Kaz said ) from the inside cage give then a week or so to get use to all the different noises and surroundings then replace the nest box Adding branches that they can gnaw on will stimulate them into condition again .. i say this from MY EXPERIENCE as a ex colony breeder and from Good luck mate

My sister had a ceaser.. I hired a house cleaner the 2 weeks for her ( she came every 2nd day to help around the house) I cooked dinners for her and prep lunches Just small stuff to help her out as she couldn't move alot
