So bascially Char the timber with out burning it ..... therefore only buring the surface and not getting in the grains of the timber and not erradacating the all the mites that live inside the wood ???.... this is my concern I HAVE SPARES which i was thinking about using however concerned for the Perches and Eggs and BABY ETC in the aviary with the Mites ... ... As the coopex soaks into the timber ....

Hey All ..... I remember that I have mentioned about having Red mites In my breeders Boxes and that I will treat them .... Sooo I finally got the Treatment that was recomended by My Avian vet "Coopex" ...... ( delay due to shipment not arriving as Missylu got the last one grrr) He advised me to make some into a paste and "Paint" the nestboxes ensuring that i get the joints and lips of the lids ..... okay so this is what i am Concerned about ..... 1 Nest box has 1 baby and the other has 4 eggs ..... The vet said that they would be okay when I done it and it wouldn't harm them at all ????? Can anyone tell me that they have INFACT treated their nestboxes / Breeding Cabinets with a Mite/lice treatment WITH YOUNG / EGGS in there ..... My last clutch of 5 all dies but 1 and I don't want this to happen with the next clutch ..... Thank you

So when the vets books and websites say there is no cure to date they need to invesigate more..... There is .... Kaz and Norms FM birds are fine .... Hmmmmmm ....leads me to wonder about everything else ... How did you guys have the guts to take the chance in breeding with them ????? I would be to scared to ???? It is awesome news
