That's funny with the fallow being rec gene cause there are 2 types the german and the English .... Via Daz Post : English Fallow, which has plum-coloured eyes without an iris, they are non sex-linked. The other is the German Fallow which also have the plum eyes, but they have an iris and they are sex-linked

Old birds doo thin out ( with my exerience any way) and Why are you birds given seed twice a week ..... Should be given everyday and sometimes filled up twice a day .... Canary seed is a good one for youngens .... Maybe some Budgie aid ( just found out about that stuff drom Dazz and TB)

Are you guys kidding $4,000.00 that is 4 thousand dollars for a bird ... O M G That is almost a good car ????? 4 g's for a bird now call me Niaeve (sp) but apart form ribbons and self satisfaction joy and etc what do you get from show breeding - I can't justify spending $100 on a bird let alone $4,000 ..... Please do not take this the wrong way - I would like to know though

YEAH !!! I love shopping espcially for the birds too ( $2 dollar shops have great cheap toys ) THing Neat thought of 1. Pegs for your doors (Laughing out loud) ....... 2. Mineral blocks... I use frozen vegies too when i can't get fresh peas and corns ( get the Good brand) as the No name brand is **** and well mine won't eat it .... Check the First aid kit FAQ and stock up on thoses too and Wormer ...... Ummmm HAVE FUN SHOPPING ... I bet you will com back with a tone of stuff (Laughing out loud)

I am not a shower or breed show type budgies But when ANYTHING goes wrong i always blame myself .... what did i do wrong what could i have done better ..... I guess that is just me being me and a mother

hehehehe ... HERE IS NEAT !!!! .... I love colony breeding : ) it has it's benefits only the 1 -2 feed containers 1 - 2 water dishes .... They have more room and movement and can fly etc ..... BUT I tend to get the Bi*chest Hens who wants what others have ..... I have 2 pairs at the moment in my breeding avairy and once they have finished I will be setting it up with stacked cabinets ... Yes more work, buying more feed dishes cuttle bones mineral blocks etc etc so the inital cost set up will be expensive However, I am sure it will out weigh the loss of eggs and hens due to there teritorial nature .... Hope this help you Derek .... My first 6 months of breeding was AWESOME NO PROBS LENTY OF EGGS AND CHICK But the last 6 months has been a nightmare . this is why I have shyed off until i a set up ...again ... Best of luck though

I couldn't possible think how i would be /cope in this situation..... I hate hearing about children passing it really hits you hard especially when you have kids .... and now your pop .... So I will say thanks for both of your info on this I have the egg and biccky stuffy and they don't seem to eat it Only their greens .... I find it interesting that the breeding aid helps with egg numbers, sizes and hatchability .... T HAT IS A WOW for me But Umm I don''t think i would want a too big an egg??? ...... But i want the best for my birds and any offsprings so why not give it ago ..... Thanks again guys
