The white one is the cutest I've seen ever,so fluffy and cute.The second baby is cute two,looks lighter than what it looked when the feathers were coming through.Very gorgeous.

The last photo is soooooo cute.What beautiful babies, Sonrisa always makes the grumpy budgie noise aswell to every one,budgie or human. They are still so cute though.

Yes Poppy and Tweety use to do this when they were out with the other budgies.Made a big mess where ever they were. Here is tweety in the bowl after kicking seed out. Here's a picture of Poppy eating the mess tweety made. So it must be normal unless we both have weird budgies!

Hi Bea,JJ hatched on the 18th of January and Pie hatched in the first week,I"m not sure what date but there is two approx weeks between them and they are from different parents. Compared to Tweety and Poppy,from JJ's pparents first clutch he seems small thats all.I could be imaging it and because I handle him more then the others maybe I see more about him.Thanks for the reply though.

I am a bit worried about JJ's size.He seems smaller then the rest of the babies I have had.I have had to handrear him since aprox. a week old.He does have some feathers missing from Sonrisa and Pie chewing on his feathers.Anyway I was wondering if there is anything I can supplement him to build him up a bit. His wings also seem a little on the skinny side when I hold them out.He is on wombaroo handrearing formula at the moment. Any suggestions? He otherwise seems healthy and is full of energy and life.Gulps down the formula when its feed time and follows Pie everywhere,even up to the highest perch he can get to. Thanks guys,I am falling in love with this little budgie,so much Charisma and spunk.Not allowed to have another bird inside though. Any ideas on sex.I was thinking boy. Here he is next to Pie,they were waiting for me to come home and feed them.

Wow,I just read through this whole post and what an adventure you guys have had.Congratulatons on your new aviary and can't wait for photos of it with all your babies inside. I would have rung the bus company after sitting in the sun for an hour,you poor thing feathers.It hasn't been as hot over the other side of australia lately thank goodness.

They are so cute They look strong and healthy aswell,your doing a great job karen.

Baby Budgies!!!!!! That is so funny!!!!!! but really quite true!

Sonrisa spent the night in the aviary and she even flew away from me when I put my hand up.The spoon grabbed attention though and she ate a small amount of rearing formula,gave me some kisses then off she went to make angry budgie noises at all of them.I don't think I have any worries about her in there she is even bossing the boss around.

Well the babies are growing up fast.Sonrisa is eating seed by herself now and has been spending her days in the aviary. Pie is trying to fly but can't stay in the air and plonks to the ground.I think he/she wieghs too much as its a bit of a pig when it comes to food.Think I might find this one tough to start eating seed,seems to enjoy the formula too much,pictured here with JJ. JJ is a real character and likes to think he can fly and do all the things the bigger birds do.I came home today to find him perched next to Pie on the perch.It was so cute.Here they are trying to get out to me and the food. :bluebudgie:

Hi Bea,I think you should give your brother a chance.Just remember how Blinkie helped to get you through tough times.Your brother being the age he is may need someone/thing to get him through his tough times.A pet that he can call his own will make a world of difference to his self esteem.I agree with bubbles too, you wont be losing anything at all,maybe just gaining a budgie.Plus he will tell everyone he has the best sister in the whole world!!!! Good luck with your decision and keep us posted.
