I think my Aussie has violet vactor in him as his colouration and feet are similar to Radar and he has just fathered a baby that looks like it has a violet gene and is opaline.I love the dark feet with the dark olive green.Radar is prettier than aussie though.

thanks turbs,the photo is a bit misguiding as sonrisa was making a funny face at the time I took the photo.Her beak does align normally,it just has the bumps on it.

Thanks Nerwen.I will keep an eye on sonrisa.It seems to feed okay when parents feed it.I lost one baby from this clutch and maybe sonrisa got hurt too at the same time but I always thought it looked like it was smiling so maybe it was born this way.I read on the forum that opaline babies may have a dark colouration on their beak.Thanks again :-)

This is snowflake and aussie's babies.I have named the biggest one "sonrisa" meaning smile in spanish. Here is a photo of its beak,I was wondering if the colouration on it is heredertary and the shape seems a bit rough.Any thoughts on sex of it aswell.It has the most beautiful blue and greenish/black wings. He can also sit on your finger too.What a clever baby. Here is the sibling who I have named "pie" for obvious reasons.It has white and a lighter blue coming through. Any thoughts on sex of this one.

They are just gorgeous babies. I love the soft colours.Would the babies carry stumpy's dark colour in their genes?

yes feathers snowflake has a tendency to puff her chest out when I have the camera.Babies are doing well and lots of blue feathers in the biggest baby.Second baby has blue and white on his wings but his tail feathers coming through look almost yellowy/green.will post more pics soon.

I'm in love woth Liah,she's beautiful and I wish I lived on the otherside of the country.All of them are just gorgeous though.

we had the babies out this afternoon and they are definately fathered by Aussie.He has dark feet and on the babies feet you can see darkening like his.Here he is next to snowflake. The eldest is definately a blue bird but I'm not sure of the second,it is showing a yellow/green on the tail feathers coming through.

Now that would be pretty nyos.Have never seen a black face in real life only on the internet.

Well poppy and tweety are going to have a brother or sister.New baby hatched this morning and is a little pink gem. Eyes look red so looks like another lutino. This will be mossey and fluros last baby for awhile,going to give them a rest as they have done a wonderful job of being a mum and dad. Here are some photos of poppy who is my sons inside bird now.He is very affectionate and loves cuddles and scratchies. He loves laying on his back for belly rubs. (Laughing out loud) Tweety is an aviary bird and wont let you handle him anymore but here is a photo of him when he was inside.

New photos of the fluffy babies,they are going well and looks like I have some sort of pied and a blue normal.Here is the pied and the blue baby I call smiley It just loves the head scratchies. Any thoughts on what sex they are guys?

Thanks guys,My son knows that it will take some time of course.Whenever we go to shops etc he is always looking for the darkest rgey/violet etc.White face green......yes that would be nice also well we will keep trrying anyway,oh and karen you are forgiven for not taking the free budgie.(Laughing out loud)

My son is interested in breeding a black budgie.Does anyone know any infomation on this or know any links that we can look at.He wants the body to be black not the black face budgie. Any help would be appreciated.
