  1. Thanks Nerwen I thought that the 2nd baby looked blue. But I didn't know if they could carry all those different genes.(Laughing out loud) Will keep everybody updated.I love how fluffy 2nd baby(poppy) is.
  2. These are Fluro and Mosseys babies I know that the yellow one is a lutino but not sure on the other one. Can anybody tell.I am amazed how you experienced people can tell so early what colour they will be and if they will be male or female. We named the yellow one Tweety.I know i know how original. The other one is Poppy as it hatched on rememberance day.I have also included Mum and Dad. First Mum(Fluro) Then Dad(Mossey) First baby(Tweety) 2nd baby(Poppy) These babies are amazing and show their different personalities already.Tweety can never stay in one spot and constantly tries to get out of your hand.Poppy is really quiet and loves its head scratched.

  10. I really don't know why people buy animals.Mindy is a beautiful budgie and is lucky that there are animal lovers in the world.I can't believe someone would treat such a beautiful animal like that.Glad she found a home.Well done to everyone involved
  11. Thanks guys,my eyes must be playing tricks. Can't wait to see babies and see if Snowball has caught her by herself to do the wild thing.Snowball sits outside her box and sings to her every day but it is Aussie who feeds and cleans her.Should be interesting.(Laughing out loud) Hope snowball has a few years in him yet,I know that he is older than 6.
  12. Oh my gosh Daz he is just gorgeous.I love him!!!!!He is very lucky ha has got such a good home.
  13. Was taking photos of my budgies and noticed that Snowflake glows green not blue like snowball. I thought that snowflake was an albino and snowball was a dark eyed type,he glows blue. Has anybody got any thoughts will try and post clear photos. This is snowflake with her boyfriend aussie Do you guys think she is a true albino there are no markings on her wings she is completely white with red eyes. :bluebudgie:

I read your article about taking flight photos and it inspired me.I took my daughters bird Chippy out for a fly and ended up with this beautiful photo.I use a flash but cover half up with my finger. Here are some that I did in my aviary. Hope every one likes them :angel1:

Hi there everyone, finally got pictures resized and thought I would introduce you to my pets.Firstly there is Caesar, the border collie who we got from a rescue centre Next we have Brutus,a himalayan and Leonardo(aka Squishy) ,a exotic short hair. Then there is Chippy or chipster mobile is his nick name as he chats away all day and night even with a cover on.Always picks up new words all the time,he is my daughters budgie. We also have a rainbow lorikeet in an aviary outside that has one working eye,Patchy. He fell out of the gum tree in our back yard and the vet was going to put it to sleep.Thankfully he let me take it back home and now is living a happy life. His parents and family still visit him,he can also talk. Then there is Jangles who is looking for a new home as my husband can not stand the noise. It is a indian ring neck, very tame and talks, loves talking to Chippy and they play together. Out side to the budgie aviary we have got Fluro and Mossey and their two babies,Poppy and Tweety. Also there is Snowball,he came with the aviary and is pretty old.At the moment he is sneakily seeing Snowflake behind Aussie's back. Snowflake and Aussie In their own breeding cage is Simon and Bluebell. My son also has a childrens python named Striker. Thankyou for making me so welcome and for all the advice given it is much appreciated.

I haven't been breeding that long but my first babies were fed by both the mother and the father from day one. They even feed both babies at the same time and take turns with each baby.Father even sat on the eggs sometimes.Good luck.

Thanks, these are my favorite two budgies.Mossey(Dad) was actually an inside bird but never liked being handled. He has made a great Dad though.I am sooooooo in love with the babies and they have different personalities already, they are just amazing creatures. Thanks for your reply. :ausb:

Hi princessmiss,I am new to the site aswell.Have you got a photo of pancake?Would love to see what this little character looks like.Have lots of fun with him.
  21. Good news everybody!!!Woke up to find Snowflake(Budgie) with egg in cage and no green poo around her vent at all. Will keep her in haospital cage though as I fear if I put her back in aviary she will start up new fights. She has already done damage to my favorite grey female Rocky. Thankyou for all your advice, its great to hear from people with experience.Unfortunately the egg has a crack in it.Thanks again.Love your Blue budgie Paul, very beautiful.
  22. One of my female budgies who is trying to mate has just got a bum full of dark green poo. Have seperated her from every one else but I am scared that it will spread to other birds in the aviary and I have babies in there.Anyone have any ideas.Have fed her antibiotic food.Should I try and worm her aswell.

Yes I am very proud of the job these two budgies have done.I really like the yellow faces I have seen on this sight and think I might have to aquire one.Fluro(mum) always cleans the babies all over after I have picked them up and chats away while she is doing it.Its funny to watch.(Laughing out loud)

Well I tolf you guys I would keep you informed about my first babies.Well they are growing fine and now you can see that one surely does have red eyes and one has black. This mans the Dad(Mossey) is split lutino, who would have guessed just by looking at him.We have named the red eye baby Tweety and the black eyed baby Poppy as it hatched on remembrance day and was pretty close to 11 o'clock aswell. have attatched phots......I hope, including Mum and Dad who have equally shared the job all the way through, although I couldn't get photo of Dad sitting on eggs as he comes out to bomb dive you when you enter the aviary. :dbb1: :ausb:
  25. well I said I would keep you updated and the verdict looks like my first baby will be some kind of lutino. It's eyes have opened and they are definately red. This is my first baby and I am totally in love with these creatures.Yellow feathers are coming through and every day it seems to grow and grow woth an astounishing rate. Its sibling has darker feathers coming through and still can't hold its head up but is not far off it.It is confirmed I am now an addict of budgies and I love watching this couple taking turns to look after and feed the babies and themselves. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q239/wp...andbabies/f.jpg
