  4. Lookin forward to pics of the new fishes, (70 mtrs of SS mesh couldnt have been cheap:( )
  5. Fingers crossed for 'good beak growth'!! It could have been a bacterial thing that has caused it kind of a rot to the tip? and as for your question, if they dont grow back you probably know the answer to that yourself unfortunately.

The ones that were tiny and not worth looking at have come along well and are standing out, the couple I had my eye on are average!! The others are still yet to change or still changing. I have missed a few in there. The cin op spangle hen with flecking has her grandmother in the aviary with her and apart from slightly different coloured ceres I cannot pick them apart. Hopefully she matures into a nice bird (apart from flecking)

YEp they sure are, they work in rat tunnels also. Mine used to run amok under the house at the old place, they'd be up to no good for hours Lol. And I made a mistake I think they are only 1 week. Time is getting away from me!!

These guys have a while before their moult but looking okay. I'm looking forward to seeing the first 2 in 6 months Cin spangle, his mask has grown longer this moult- not that you can see in this picture- and is looking well Not showing much yet, hasnt quite hit his moult Not a good picture of her, she is looking very much like mum. Flecking!!! Her brother and sister (also the grey cin spangle previous) This girl is tiny unfortunately but I have seen other small ones bloom at 6 months so we'll see. Everytime the flash went off she would open her wings, it took me a few pics to work out why the pics came out different to how she was sitting And one of the old boys, he is about 9, I have had him for 2 yrs the previous lady had him 5 and when she got him she was told he was about 3, he is looking quite ragged these days. This will be his last home unless something dire happens. About the only picture I have of him that shows his yellowface. Oh well thats all for now folks...........

Mb they are all working ferrets, except one he's a lover not a chaser!! Lib between 50-100, I tend to give a few away if they are going to good homes and some I swap between friends if they need one, only sell a few if needed. I keep a few.

yeah the poleys get a very slight grey tinge to them at this age

I know a couple of people on here were interested in ferrets so I'll pop these pics up. Just going on 2 weeks now there are 7, they will all be white or silver, no poleys like mum which was surprising Have 1 more jill to drop in a few weeks.
  15. Funniest thing on tv lately, a lady couldnt get her boys to eat vegies so she gave them a 'Fart rating' out of 5. Vegies make ya fart, brocholi was a 4 and cabbage/ cauliflower a 5 etc etc. The boys thought it was a great idea, ate all their vegies as they wanted good farts. Well done though MB once kids have decided they arent going to eat things anymore it can be hard, I have all this to look forward to.
  16. How old is he? He is a skyblue, yf2 but in the standing up picture looks GF, the other pics just look yf2 though. Either way he is a pretty bird
  17. Wild caught adult cockatoos are hard to tame down to an avairy environment, and you would be getting rid of 500-1000 each flock in some of them, there arent enough places for them all to go. As well as not many survivng the long journey by road to get them to an available city. When the birds are poisoned its where they have taken up most of the area so not many other species can compete, not that they are territorial as such but there is just so many that not many other birds come near. Plus they seem to target a specific crop and generally what a cockatoo eats and what a budgie eats are different so dont cross over making it easier to get the one species Bird scaring devices only work for so long then they get used to it. I know somebody with a macadamia farm that has tried everything available only to have the cockatoos basically sit and laugh at him he has lost the years income as they have taken it all. No-one really wants to poison whether it be because they like the birds and have thoughts such as yourself or because they dont want the carcasses left laying around but in the end its the only solution that works after having tried and tested all other options. Yeah sorry for heading off on a tangent to the original post but its something hard to comment on until you are in this industry
  18. Until you see in person the number of birds in these flocks you will really have no idea what they can do and what they can achieve (destroy) in minutes. I have a few photos where an oval size patch of ground is covered by corellas and it wasnt even half the flock. Usually done with poison oats/wheat, also used for poisoning emus when their numbers get bad also.
  19. Nice, I like 'her sister'. Id like to know if she ends up flecked when she moults though-. Fluffy little things lol, I love the amount of stripes on her face
  20. Very nice babies, good range of colours
  21. Lol thats all part of having boys hahaha (I swallowed a plastic rabbit as a toddler ) Its always the second child thats the terror or so Ive noticed. First one angel, second a riot!!
  22. The last one was in August and it lasted 5 days, in the US I think. I wonder what the medical reason for the death was, if it was eating properly.
  23. Starting to get ridiculous the way they are babying us now with 'we must'nt say this or that'. Some people need to harden up the world is going downhill. Its a TV show of course there is fictional stuff argh
  24. Have a look in my avatar, this bird was inside for about 6 months when he was a baby. He was an 06 bird so has been in the aviary since then. The picture was taken a month back out of a breeding cage so its possible, I can still scratch his head he steps up and sits on my shoulder. I also have a bird that was inside for a few years and has been in the aviary 6 months and wont come near me so it can work either way Lol. But I have had pets I put in the aviary to breed many many years ago and then brought back inside and had the same tame bird after a bit, it depends on how well you have bonded before trying this though.
