Daz
  2. I had that happen to me with a 20 kg bag of seed once - since it had been 2 weeks since I bought it I'd long got rid of the docket. I don't buy my seed from them anymore! You can get a 10kg bag of Trill from Big W for roughly $15.
  3. Once a bird is a killer it is always a killer & will continue to do so. You must remove the killer hen whenever you intend to breed.

    Nice to meet you Zebra!
  8. Budgies are pretty intelligent creatures, as long as you provide them with shelter out of drafts & open air they will choose to sleep in the shelter or not. If they get too cold they will go together for mutual warmth.
  9. Ahem, I do believe these birds are called Show Budgies not english budgies! #6 reminded me of Blinks!
  10. Took this one this afternoon. I don't think baby will be pied - looks normal green to me & bites really hard!!! http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kar...es5-2-2006A.jpg
  11. Boris: Doofus distract her by looking cute, I'll steal the millet . . . Heads Up!!! Help!! Boing!!! Last photo is Doofus' 'vertical lift' flying. The 2nd last is a flutter along the ground.
  12. I am rather proud of these photo's. Boris was remarkably co-operative with me when I took them.
  13. I only know the hatch date for the last one - 20th January. I was still in hospital when the others hatched. However if we go by the every 2nd day guide - judging by their size in relation to each other I reckon we can - then the others would be 16t & 18th January hatching days. I will post more pictures on Saturday when I change the wood shavings.
  14. hehe Boomboom - never! she is my baby . . .
  15. If you want them to breed Lin you could have left them in the breeder cage in the aviary. Letting them out for flight time might not be such a great idea if you want them to bond with each other.
  16. How's that daz? I have never heard of that before. I know people who keep 1000 + birds and only need a permit for the threatened/at risk birds.
  17. uhuh Lin, you take care of the aviaries you've got. And save your money for a pair of Kakariki's . . .
  18. Bubblegum is gorgeous!!
  19. do you think the far left one will be dominant pied opaline? The one I can't see the head (3rd one) can't see a spot so maybe it'll be dominant pied opaline too? Maybe all four will be pied. Help me out! My genetics knowledge sux alot!!
  20. Looks like 2 pied & 2 opaline (can't see colour properly)

Hi Aziz. Welcome I think your bird could also be mourning the loss of his previous owner/environment.
