    Kylie is beautiful!
  8. I looks like Lizzie loves the camera too!
  9. Can I borrow them for, say . . . 3 months?
  10. Daz, I am going to have to come to your place one day soon and steal one or more of your babies! They are so cute!!
  11. Don't worry about it Sailor! My Grayson & a lutino boy have been at it hammer and tong for the past month and a half & have produced 2 eggs that I just throw out. Grayson hasn't laid anything for the past 3 weeks now. It is just another form of exercise for non breeding budgies, perfectly normal. Just ask any human teenager.
  12. Generally they will mate at least a dozen times before each egg is laid. Sometimes it is just for 'fun' other times it is for producing babies. Give it time. I have a boy 5-6 months old who successfully fertilised an egg.
  13. Yep, it's just the picture, she is 100% albino - she is my foster mum whom I gave yet another baby to today. She is so sweet when she accepts another baby!

  15. Sorry guys, I so suck at reading all the posts! I do have a photo of an iris ring in an albino . . .
  16. Just goes to show you can teach an old Blinkie new tricks!
  17. Happy Dances on your head? That would be funny to see!
  18. It gets a bit much when you a having a friendly chortle with her & she suddenly bows down in front of you! At least it's not as bad as her grandfather who used to mate with his perch about 25% of the time & got worse when visitors came over! :hap:
  19. It could also be that she really wants to breed. I had to put Squirt outside to let her breed as when she was around 12-14 months old she really got desperate to be with other birds (turned out to be male birds!). When I put her with a male she became like her old self and happy again.
  20. (Laughing out loud) My Squirt would do the same thing, in the kitchen we have 2 large windows with horizontal blinds on them. When it was time to put her away she'd fly back and forth between them, occasionally she'd fly back to her cage. She'd also sometimes hop on your finger and fly off just as you'd be about to put her in the door. The whole time she'd be squawking in a way that you'd swear meant she was laughing at us.
  21. Boris still demands head scratches from me! There are only 2 places I can give them to her, 1st is if I stick my finger in the bars of the cage which can get very awkward. The only other time is if she is being sooky and sites on top of the cage right over the door, then she permits me to give her a head scratch.
  22. Boris likes everyone & would fly to anyone. I keep her door closed when my sister visits though as my sister gets 'frightened' of flying birds and swipes at them. Boris' grandfather was a very friendly bird until my sister visited and when he went to fly to her to say hello she swiped at him & knocked him away. He was never the same and became aggressive.
  23. you sure fed em up Daz! Are you planning on making a roast out of them? They weren't that weight when I had em were they? I don't feed my birds anything that is not a natural food and I don't take note of what bird food manufacturers 'recommend' as they will always say that their product (pellets) are good. Ever see a pellet tree? Vets will recommend anything that will make them more money especially from kickbacks. I know people will argue that pellets contain all the protein & vitamins birds need and there's no waste etc. but, how would you like to eat protein pills instead of the food your species evolved with? Give your bird plenty of toys, get her out and exercise her some even if she doesn't want to, feed her plenty of green leafy vegies and other veggies too. No sunflower seeds as they are very high in fat. With the right amount of seed daily - 2 teaspoons for optimum pet bird weight - as much vegies as she wants combined with exercise and she will trim down. Maybe keep her in a separate cage as the others so she doesn't eat more than she should.
  24. Don't know mate, they were both bought birds. But most of their offspring have been similar to Jazz & one baby I have had trouble identifying with 100% certainty.
