Lump
No, I didn't find out what it was as the body had been taken over by ants - she had died overnight.

Kirby!! haha Kirby!! Fancy hitting the only thing on an empty beach!! Sorry, I'm done. ahem, I am now!! I have one larger aviary, one small aviary, 1 patio aviary & a six pack breeder cage set up. I just threw out a double cage breeder as it has a hex on it.- Foster Parent New Pics As Of 19-5-2006
Mrs Robinson & Toy Boy's baby is in this lot. S/he is the one stuck in the bottom right corner. I can't answer your other questions Kirby, I'm not Dr Seuss! Mrs Robinson is a very good mother normally so I can't understand why she stopped feeding it.- Quiz Time Again
b-b-but I ws up half the night researching! I never even improved!! Based on the research I did I should have gotten about 6 right!- Fat Budgie
Well, with my brand new scales I weighed Boris & she is 46 grams & 20cm long. She is one of my smallest budgies but definately is not overweight and is as fast as the wind!- Scales For Weighing Birds
Never let it be said that this ole girl isn't open to new idea's. Today I bought a set of digital scales. $30 from Kmart & it goes up in 1g increments. I did testing on it when I got it home to ensure it is accurate & it is! I decided that (of course) Boris would be the first live subject. She fought me like anything getting her on it & keeping her on it! But, of course being a bird she is totally weird and as soon as I gave up and removed my hands she sat still on it looking at me as if to say "all you had to do was ask!" I repeated the process 3 times & obtained the same results each time.- Quiz Time Again

It's funny isn't? Sometimes you walk around looking for something to buy and nothing is around, other times you walk around not looking for anything then you find what you didn't know you needed!- Bath Time
Wow! You've got some great flight shots there! I'm amazed by all the birds out at once, do they fight?- Some Of My Budgies, The Others

He is gorgeous!- Bath Time
Beautiful Birds you have there!- =o Wheres The Spazness! =o
Great cage there! That would be perfect for a pair of Kakariki!- Oh My! What A Traumatic Time
It is great knowing she loves me, sometimes I just wish she'd love someone else for awhile! Mum says just lock her in the cage, I say no way! I can't keep her locked up! Sailor - I have never attempted to train Boris. She is solely responsible for the way she is. I brought her inside when she was 6 weeks old, 4 days later she escaped from the cage and sat on me and the rest is history.- Lump
I hope it goes well at the vet. One of my hens develped a lump near her vent last year when I put her down to breed & it disappeared when I removed her from the breeder without any eggs. This year the same thing - lump near vent. Unfortunately this time she died.- Disabled Budgie
That is sad news.- He's Moulted So Let's Try Again
Thanks so much LusoPeriquito!! It is great information, I am grateful to you for explaining how he is what he is. It has been a 6 month mystery trying to identify him and it makes 100% perfect sense to me now.- He's Moulted So Let's Try Again
Okay, Dutch Dominant Pied - is that why his colour is diluted? or is that another track I'm on altogether? I have decided not to ever separate his parents again (not because the male refuses to breed with anyone else) as these 2 have bred gorgeous blues! Mostly blue series with cinnamon wings, like these 2 girls: Okay, just found this: http://www.budgerigars.co.uk/specialist/pieds/tom.html which explains what a Dutch Dominant Pied is! YAY!!! Thanks again Jen! Quickie: is he also dilute as his colour is very pale?- Blue Budgies Surprise! New Pics 13/5
Kirby! I do agree with you though. I can't remember how many babies have hatched in the 20+ years I've bred birds but this little guy in my opinion is the cutest baby ever! and I specialise in the ino's! :(Laughing out loud):- Foster Parent New Pics As Of 19-5-2006
No, Mrs Robinson & Toy Boy don't have bub anymore, they stopped feeding him. Not sure about the genetics side of things Kirby, the only thing I'm pretty certain of is when I breed my lutino's & albino's. Other than that I'm not real good at picking future results. - Nesting Boxes
