After Mumma Budgie died I was really worried for her husband as he had eyes for no one else. I followed some great advice & put a hen with him as close to Mumma Budgies looks as possible. This picture was taken today, he is very happy:

See it from your mother's point of view: you keep a baby from this clutch. Next clutch you'll want to keep another and so on. You should be thanking her. At least with finding them new homes you can give them this sites' address and ask for regular updates.
