Well I reckon it probably was a nightmare. I mean every living creature dreams - otherwise their brain would stop functioning and they'd die. So it stands to reason that if something dreams - then they also can have nightmares.

2 evenings ago all was quiet and then all of a sudden Boris started going berserk (she was in bed for the night), she was flapping, squawking, bashing around in her cage. I raced in there to calm her down, I opened her cage and put my hand in and she jumped straight on without hesitation. I cuddled her for about 30 seconds until she didn't want to anymore. She crawled to my shoulder and sat there shivering for about 5 minutes, had a quick fly and was okay. I'm not overly concerned because she is 17 months old and this is the first time she has ever had it. I think Boris must have had a nightmare, there is no other way I can explain it.

The parents are lovely, congratulations on the third chick. I believe all chicks will be yellow & green pieds.

3rd baby arrived yesterday!

I got some advice from a friend on a parrot forum who suggested I offer Twerp some Spark. Boy did it make a difference!! The little 'twerp' just won't stay in his box!! I was peeling potatoes for dinner & Boris was going bonkers so I looked into the lounge room & here was Twerp standing on the sofa!! S/he escaped!!! Gotta love that Spark! :(Laughing out loud):

Box bred. Too many tragedies from colony breeding so I don't do it anymore.

Twerp made it through the night and seems to be rallying! S/he (think he at the mo) has had a few feeds today, we are just letting him take what he wants which is around 4 beakfulls - we are just offering it more often.
