isn't the yellow face one (turk)not a normal but is an opaline? it looks alot like my Jingle's who is a yellow face type 2 opaline. Amy- both of your budgies are beautiful. I wonder if he may be spilt to opaline, as his head barring is a bit too strong to be opaline. When I first saw him I couldn't decide wether I thought he was opaline or normal... Thats my theory anyway Any experts have an opinion on this??

Yesterday marked one month already that Lea came home, and armed with a whole month of perfect health plus a good report from the vet with negative test results, I decided it would be safe to let them have a play! I took Lea down to the bird room and put her on the budgies playgym so that they could come and get acquainted... Lea was absolutely rapt with all the "cool" toys they have down there! I took 178 pictures, I deleted 80 of them that were blurry, posted a dozen that were Bobby and have weedled out a few more that I will show in a different post, so here is a selection of pics I took for your viewing pleasure!! Awwww look at it all WOW Yum yum YUM Oooh Uh Mum... What is this creature I am NOT a creature Thank YOU HMPH I am NOT impressed Well I will go meet the other ones then - they seem friendlier (until Sherbie bit her foot through the bars) Sherbie in the background (not looking hehe) Tackling the swingy thing Easy... All of them! I had them all posing for this picture, Lea was too busy playing! The yellows checking her out In comes green! All in all it went quite well, Bobby pulled Lea's crest and made her cry - the naughty boy, but I will only let them play together supervised! I hope you enjoyed.

I love budgie toy shopping more that anything else! (except for maybe cool gadgets ) I am really uncreative with my cage rearrangements though, I am limited with the budgie cages cause I need 4 food dishes and non of them under a perch (and they STILL manage to poop in their food ) And I like to leave good flying space so no toys in the middle.

I am glad she has passed this one without drama... you would think she would still be sore down there :( What are the chances of this egg being fertilized?? Do you have any other hens on eggs? If you let her have a clutch perhaps you could foster some of the eggs so motherhood isn't as much of a strain on her... I have also heard of people boiling their eggs just to make sure...
