  1. Have a great day Julie !!!!
  2. Noone who is responsible should be selling and moving a bird on eggs. A budgie on eggs will in 99.9% of cases abandon her nest and eggs if there is any interferance of her nest and eggs while incubating. So if you move her and her eggs into a new cage and new nestbox, expect her to abandon the rest of her incubation. New home, new interests, new food, new friends, catching and travel will all add to her not being interested in what she has begun. If you insist on trying.............. expect the worst and anything else is a bonus.
  3. This usually indicates a respiratory aggravation. Either something upsetting the birds breathing like vapours or a respiratory illness. A serious respiratory illness would also have discharge from nostrils and tail pumping when breathing and after exercise.
  4. Hi!

Its your age. If you "fudge" your age when applying and add a few years you may well get photobucket working.

Welcome Nim There is a link in my signature here on how to post pictures
  6. Laughing my *** off
  7. Obviously todays friends have a better "eye" for a budgie than yesterday's friends!!! Hence the complete turn around from "poor quality birds" to "birds were outstanding"................. LMAO Shows you should always use your own being there experience and your own eye and judgement and not rely on others. We all look for differing things based on what features we need to buy in to our flocks and we base it also on what we see in our own birds at home. You cant rely on someone else's say so in most cases.
  8. I agree with PJ
  9. Amazes me that a members actual request to remove her post has resulted in a "discussion" on forum moderation actions
  10. The emoticons will be back at some point.
  11. I like it
  12. I have been urging some work in that area but so far nothing. The new system isnt as easy to load up new ones as the old system

  14. BUMP for those that need reminding that we mods have a job to do and are not paid for it nor thanked all that often either. We are not here to steal peoples posts or run a dictatorship. We do what we have been asked to do by the nature of our job and due to request by site owner. I was recently chastised by a member due to me moving a misplaced post by a new member. The member being new didnt know where to put his first post as often many new members do not. They generally tack them onto some other topic. Our job, when we find these misplaced first posts is to seperate them out into a new topic where they as new members will be seen and welcomed and answered. I did that as part of my job and was told in no uncertain terms by the member who had started that topic ( where the new member had mistakenly posted ) that my explanation for doing so was bullsh*t amongst other things. These are the things or jobs we moderators and admins do to keep the forum running smoothly and a job we do as we have been asked to do it. We dont do things just to specifically get under anyones skin. It takes a great deal of our personal time and most of it is work done behind scenes. It is very easily for our work to be misconstrued and CRITICISED
  15. removed at posters request....................Heathrow Nothing sinister here

    I like your birds mate
  17. I get mine from my avian vet and he makes it up and sells it over the counter. If you are in a budgie club some of your members may have a supply and some budgie clubs sell products at their meetings. Failing that........your vet.
  18. A lot of nesting materials used here in australia is saw dust or wood shavings from safe wood. I have not been able to attribute any deaths to using this for bedding.
  19. Did you see an avian vet or a normal vet ?
  20. The bird has been ripping at its feathers. It isnt french moult. Something is stressing the bird.
  21. Mate ...the legring hasnt anything to do with her foot issue at all. The only time a budgies foot will swell around a legring making it necessary to cut it off is when scaly face mites affect their feet and cause scaly build up under the legring. All legrings put on show budgies are put on at age 5-6 days and are with them for life not affecting them in any way. The sizes are right for them with plenty of room unless they get an issue with scaly. Its not due to ring being too small. it shouldnt as long as she can grip the perch well enough.
  22. Show type budgies. English budgies live in england. Are you in a budgie club near you at all ? Best source of getting these budgies is to join a club and you will have access to breeders and their culls.
