Are Lemon Tree Leaves, Branches And Fruit Good Or Bad For Budgies
I understand you being confused...............many sites say toxic on one and non toxic on the other for branches and leaves. As far as citrus fruit goes...........my aviary birds get halves of oranges, lemons, grapefruit and mandarin all the time as well as halves of apple, sweetcorn on the cob, bok choy, pak choy etc.

Desperate Help Needed
You may have to widen your area of birdsitting. Is there anywhere along the way ( say to the airport ) that you can also consider ?

Trying Breeding Again
Looks like that to me too Ratzy, but more photos needed ****PS Must be said that scalyface mostly affect birds whose immunity system is down. To suggest a minimal settling in period before breeding is not a good idea...these birds need to be a good few months getting them right before you even think of nestboxes

What Age Are My Hens
Yes................but as the ring go in cycles it can also indicate a a 2003 bird ( red ring ) and a 2005 bird ( purple ring ) ........ most likely isnt but you need to read the info off those rings and post here
-
What Age Are My Hens
are they wearing legrings ? and if so, what are the codes on them and colour of rings ?

What Age Are My Hens
Try again...........clear photos showing iris rings on eyes. Use macro setting on camera.

My Crew
Even though these cages come with perches that run across the cage....you are far better off recutting them and having them on each side of the cage running front to back. this enables the bird to be able to fly across the cage and not just sit there and sidle along.

Ring Colours
NO. The rings are distributed yearly so they have a symbol and a year on it. Like X8 or -8 that shows a 2008 bird. This symbol and number goes vertically up the ring while all other numbers and letters go around the ring. It would be too hard to get the month on the rings too. Breeders should keep records and be able to tell a purchaser which date that particular bird hatched.

Ring Colours
Its purple called magenta by most. Next rings are gold and are distributed to be used Sept 1st

Sleeping A Lot
Very sad to hear. I was messaging Jabberwocky telling him much earlier on that Dalek didnt look well in those posed photos he was doing and I was urging the need for a vet visit. I said to stop doing the posed photo topic and get him well. It was evident if you look back in those photos that Dalek was not a well budgie.

First Egg And New Breeder
I know it can happen on the odd occasion Maddy. I am just advising Nathan not to expect one every day as every two days is normal.

New Mousetrap

New Member...............diet question
Hi ZSteve and Welcome. I had to move your first post into its own topic as sometimes, when tacked ionto another topic, it can be lost and not get the answers it deserves. I am not apellet person..dont believe in them and wont serve them. My birds have seed at all times ( very best quality seed ) and get the extras every day too...a varying amount of types but some from the list everyday... a variety of additional vegies and fruits, as well as a soft food mix. They get sweetcorn beetroot bok choy pakchoy english spinach large spinach or silver beet carrots apples citrus fruits..... oranges, lemons, grapefruit, and mandarins Soft food has a basis of dry porridge oats mixed with water and added calcivet, some whey protein powder, whole egg powder, polenta, wheatgerm, some budgie seed mixed in, some hulled or whole oats etc I would never consider removing a food source to make them eat another.
