Hi and welcome Here's your bird photos ( next time use the img link and just paste into your reply or post ) about the "almost albino" You cant have an almost albino. it is either an albino or it isnt. Albinos have red eyes and are pure white. Which is the one you think is almost albino ?

If there's any suspicions of nutrition issues dont breed another clutch just now.

Moulting time and hormonal cere change time all coincides sometimes to produce a grumpy not so happy budgie. To be on the safe side chick budgie over for sign of feather mites just in case.

Firstly .........you refer to he and he is a she as evident by cere colour change Moults do not always happen at the same time. A moult might also be forced by a change in diet.

Well, this budgie has been looking fantastic for a very long time now. So, I tried him in a breeding cage. All was going well and his hen went to nest to lay her eggs. Then it started all over again, he began to rip out his wings flights and tail and thats when I pulled him out of breeding. He will have to be someones pet or he will have to live his life in the aviary because he sure doesnt want fatherhood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Daz and welcome I used to live in Tassie for around 10 yrs also. Loved it. Re cages....I made up some vertical banks using melamine, and they are on wheels. Each bank has four slots and I put wire cages in like on shelves. In this way I can pull them out and clean...worked out well for me.

That looks like a great cage for that purpose you wont get them for that price here...........most are shipped from China so were just a little further for shipping.

I think they were in either packs of four or six ( cant quite remember ) and if you remove the front off the cage and invert it you have a front that you then have drop doors for nestboxes.

Check the colour of the babies pin feathers coming through on wings and tail. If the pin feathers are white it means a blue series baby and if the pins are yellow it means green series baby.

The blue is paler due to the bird being a cinnamon wing. That reduces strength of body colour.

Well done Jason !! The piks are great, especially the clear ones of the babies. Your breeding cage looks terrific too. The chicks will only come through blue if the Dad is split for blue. White down shows them as opaline so that makes them both girls
