Your birds are so beautiful and you take really nice photos. As Elly says enter them into our competitions and you will do very well
  5. You need to learn to crop feed too Dave...and there is crop needles for younger babies. Try seeing if they will suck in a runny mix made up with the triple c water in it.
  6. Times like these you need to be topping up with crop feed with some triple c in the formula. Have you ever crop fed ?

To access the same way we do Renee, means crossing our yard and more chance of being seen. Seems whoever has been at the aviary is coming in from the back or over a neighbours fence or another way which I wont disclose right now. Also I lock the doors of my birdroom.
  10. No, its just what budgies do with wood
  11. Quarantine is meant to be in another cage in another room at least 5 metres away and in other airspace. Psittacosis brought in by a carrier bird who doesnt show symptoms will go through a whole room in no time at all. Incubation a week to ten days. You need to be far more careful and educated with quarantine than you are right now.

No. The first attempt to break into the aviary was in January...........well before any bird mill accusations. Also that person is from the USA. But aren't they noisy? And wouldn't the birds go beserk? Come to think of it, given that that corner is so close to your neighbors' I am surprised no one came and investigated! Cordless drill are very quiet and wont be heard unless you are arounf 15-20 feet away. Torchlight moving around down there would be a good reason the birds were going berserk in there earlier in the week during the night though. If someone was down there using a torch.Neighbours wont investigate noises there either as they are used to us using tools down there and used to the birds noises too.
