He was meant to be, even for a short while

Good size breeding cages and the same size and tyoe as mine. I changed the perches around to run front to back and TOP RHS DOOR for your NEST
  3. Shows how good the parents are to have to administer three types of "formula" to these guys based on their varying needs.
  4. A good idea too is to find any people near you with birds who may have some meds to "loan" you in an emergency.
  5. I think it may have been mentioned before..........but we often advise about worming here and a lot of our overseas members wonder why we advocate worming a bird. It seems not to be advised overseas like we are here. It is a job so easily forgotten to unless we mark it on the calender. Time my birds were done again too
  6. Princess parrots are nice too. If you are anwhere near the Avicultural Society in Belmont area their once a month bird sale meet is on tomorrow morning from 9:30 at 112 Acton Ave Rivervale. We will go
  7. Various ones have said they will still do them. Its a time issue thing.
  8. One way to find out http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=21279 find the vet nearest you and phone. All vets I know have an answering machine or answering service stating their emergency hours or vets emergency number. At least it will be peace of mind if you phone tonight and get your answer ready for whatever tomorrow brings. Good luck.
  9. Boxes get messier when babies are past two weeks. You may want to clean it out then.
  10. Baby girl Mischa with her big sister
  11. :rip: terribly sad to hear. Biggest hugs to you all and ........................GB ..you handled that all so well with your daughter
  12. Fantastic !!! Heres you with birds breeding and chicks and its too hot here for us to breed. Keep the coming
  13. You gotta be happy with all them Dave
  14. As Maesie says member Libby http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showuser=3634 would help you with hand tamed budgies. She has tiels but I am not sure if she is breeding them. I have friends who breed ringnecks but the season is now finished for ringnecks and their handraised babies are gone to new homes.
  15. Not mops at all. Definitely some long flighted ones there and tail-less one BUT no mops.
  16. Did you mean siamese Maes ? They can whinge a lot ! The kitten has currently got used to be called TISHY. Ken says we are calling her TISH Nar... Burmese. A friend has them and although they are no where near as wingie as Siamese, they still talk... But I live alone so I suppose it would give me someone to talk to Tish... Love it. Easy to call and tell off! So Burmese are "talkers" too huh Siamese are a pain when they have something to grizzle about. Khan is the worst.........he thinks anytime we walk in the house with shopping bags we have food just for him.........he will carry on like a pork chop

  18. With Canker, I rarely get it in my aviary and if so its from introduced birds. I treat as I find with that
  19. Did you ask your local vet if he had ronivet ?
  20. I used to colony breed. I had no trouble either until I did start to........then then were deaths
  21. Posts about colony breeding There's another 50 or more pages of these same sort of stories.........one day I will post them too. But for now...it makes a point worth learning from
  22. Googling it wont help at all. If its a breeders ring we may be able to assist
  23. Pull the nestbox off. Put any nestbox chicks into a tub on the floor of the cage and make seed the nesting material in the tub with the chicks. Remove the mother to another place out of earshot of the dad. He will finish the raising of the chicks especially if he cant hear her call. Dont give her a nestbox....once she has to lay off the perch she will stop after an egg or two.
  24. Does the legband have any letters or numbers on it ?
