  1. Same as any other female....light brown, to medium brown onwards.
  2. Anytime you see a dark black beak you may well see some of that darkness on the cere as well. Thats what you were seeing but it isnt a problem with the cere at all and it will fade away over a couple of weeks. Its all about melanin.

  6. I give mine Peppermint tree branches in breeding cages. You will begin to see the chicks eating the seed once they have seed bedding, and you will see the older ones feeding the younger ones.

  15. Yes a vet would, but you are better off buying the product for future use as well not just having one budgie treated.
  16. Suggest removing ALL nesting materials in that box and replacing totally with budgie seed.....ASAP
  17. No, the worming was not repeated after we got him from the breeder. I wasn't aware that there was a need to before this incident, and now I know better. There lies the problem....and most worming products say to repeat the process
  18. Worming once as a baby ? Worms are cyclic and you would have had to repeat the worming. Did you ?

  20. BBC's Budgiebum got Best in Show ( in the Rares Show ) with her Dominant Pied ...and deservedly so. he's a beauty. My boy Memphis got Reserve Best in Show This greywing of mine was determined by the judges to be a dilute and won best dilute and another award as well My spangle ( from Omelette ) won Best Spangle This fellow of mine won Best Skyblue..... This hen also won something...not sure which certificate is hers as yet. Came home with 8 cettificates and two rosettes. I am now in intermediate ( advanced from novice ) so its pretty much my first time showing in a new level. Here is a cite little crested of julie Rosiere's that won his section

    Hi Joel, Its preferable to have them higher but with your cage you may not be able to without cutting bars of your cage. I think you should be okay with the way you have set it up.
