  1. I recall reading this too but I have never tried it..........thanks Troy for telling us it works. I will definitely try it next time I have an afflicted chick
  2. Funny was the comment about getting dodgy advice there Ratzy......just like you said.....dodgy or bad advice in some cases.
  3. Sounds more like malformation than a tumour to me, but it could be anything really. We got the odd chick or two that hasnt got all its working parts as they should be. Percentage wise we dont often get these kind of things happening and when we do, we just take it in our stride.
  4. Maybe he is gay and has yet to come out of the closet :laughter:
  5. Stressed cockbird is fine in the hoilding cage with others for company......hasnt removed any more feathers.
  6. Third chick died......you may notice from the dates that the third chick arrived a day too early. It wasnt ready. Yellowbelly from early hatching. Other two are growing very well. Quite large chicks for their age. I think only one more to hatch.
  7. Seeing wing flights is a big help in identifying certain birds. Clipped wings does not help at all :laughter:
  8. Take scissors and when GB isnt looking cut a square of her blanket for your baby budgies security "BLANKIE" :laughter: He might need it since he's been so spoilt
  9. As a previous horsewoman in a younger life, I can really appreciate your beautiful foals. Wonderful photos.

  19. Try the seed in the nestbox from chicks age 2 weeks ( in the future ) and they will be out and eating soon enough. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....showtopic=22446
  20. Those chicks look old enough to be moved out of the nestbox onto the floor of the cage ?
  21. he is lute cock bird id say he has got some kind of respertary problem or illness the green could of been due to the bird being marked for clear identification in the flock mabe he mared or she marked all culls and then kept them in flock till he could sell or petshop did to tell males from females not sure just a few guesses the brown mark above his cere is a defenent sighn of a cold or infection of respertory setting in or when this dark usually already set it he could also of been marked as been treated I agree with GB :hap: and you may get some real dodgy answers here click on link >>>> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...04110834AA3X2lP
  22. Good to hear they travelled okay Dave
  23. Yeah...it was very sudden. Happened about the same time the hen decided the nestbox was a very good idea. Maybe being pressured for budgie bonking was more than he could bear Meanwhile he is segregated and I hope he is a little better in the morning. I certainly hope he doesnt make a bigger mess of his beautiful feathers
