He has to be Bubblegum's baby - (Laughing out loud) - both are great looking!!!! I don't think Bubblegum is a spangle. Wing feathers have dark colour in centre. If he was a spangle, they would just be traced in dark colour.

Hi Everyone, I know I have posted my birds before individually before for identification. But I've received some conflicting information. So... I want to try again. Sometimes the more I hear and read the more confused I get. I need clarification on colours and type. Thanks so much! Tweety Is she just a dilute or a greywing? Sylvester YF2 dilute or goldenface? Wylie YF1 or YF2, Cinammon??? Beka Greywing? Clearwing? Dilute? Cinnamon? (She gets the brown tinge with a flash) - none in second picture. Daffodil Green or Olive? Goldenface? Tazzy Violet? Cobalt? Puddin (Bottom) and Star (Top) Star - YF1 or 2? I think most of these were taken without a flash so colour should be close. Thanks so much!!!!!

yea i love the blue in the first picture too... thats why i took a closer picture... got a few nice budgies with that colour blue in them.... so Spangles look like them? My understanding of spangle is that dark colour tips the wing feathers in a spangle rather than fills the centre - it is the reverse of what a normal budgies wing feathers look like. Bea's Blinkie and Ozzie are good examples.

What brand is the playgym Bea? It looks great!

Glad he's getting better. What were the signs that something was wrong? Just trying to prepare myself with information should any budgie illnesses appear with my guys!

Can you take him in his cage or is it too big/hard to handle? I think the box would be stressful!

That looks like a male cere to me. Very pretty bird! I'm going to guess that it is a dilute yellowface II opaline, but the experts will confirm that. I think because he is dilute he needs a gentle male name. Merlin would workwell. Something like Butch would not!!!!

AWWEEE. Sweet. It really is amazing how different in size and development they can be in just a few days.

I have seen her chewing on the perch. The cere has really cleared up in the last two days. Can there nares get blocked with dirt or something and cause irritation or inflammation? As for the poop, I thought that she might be choosing different food than Puddin too - there is flax seed in the food mix and little black balls (not sure what they are), as well as fruits and veggies.

So sorry for your losses. I look forward to hearing about your new birds when you are up to it.

He's cute Lovey! It is amazing how things change when they are fully flighted. I see a big difference in Sylvester and Tweety. Their flights are almost all in now.
