Trying To Fit Everybody In!
Looks and sounds good to me. Do they call for one another much?

Breeding Yf2
Confused - yes I am?!? I've been assuming my Wylie and Star are both YF2 based on the fact that their main body colour is a turquoise/aqua and I can see the yellow bleed in both of them, especially Wylie now that he is molting. But Star's face is a much lighter yellow than Wylie's - although his may molt out lighter I guess. Tazzy's wing feathers were outlined in yellow but the new feathers are coming in outlined in white. Star's wing feathers are outlined in white. So if I'm understanding you correctly maybe they are both single factor YF2??? I've thought about these two as a possible breeding pair someday so I was curious about what the outcomes might be.

Breeding Yf2
If you breed two yellowfaceII's do you end up with yellowfaceII babies? I used the genetics calculator (think I used it right) and it said yes, but I recall reading somewhere that I would end up with white faced babies.

Cute - your opaline yellowface (sorry forget which is which) looks just like my Star. Does she have a brown tip on her beak too? Cutsie wootsie!

My Budgies
Your adult birds are gorgeous!!! My favourite colouring!!!! I can't wait to see how this baby turns out. Keep the pics coming!!!

Brown Above Cere
Could it be a molting thing. My budgies feathers always look "yukky" above the cere during a molt. They get discoloured or fall out and leave bald spots.

A Girl's Day Out
Nice pics. They are just so cute. I still want Bubbles!!!

I'm New And So Is My Budgie
Your bird is adorable. Looks like my Tweety. Here is a picture of her at 7-8 weeks (I think). Next to her is my male around the same age. See the difference in their ceres. Perhaps that will help you. Sylvester and Tweety

Most Recent Piccies
I especially like Casper and Blackie!! Who is the dad of the babies? Any predictions on what they will look like?

Number 7
Lucky you. I'm avoiding any place that sells budgies these days because I don't want to be tempted. I've sworn to my husband that I won't by anymore unless I can find a yellowface II spangle. I've yet to see any kind of spangle around here so chances are pretty good I won't find one. Looking forward to meeting your new cutie!

Glad to hear you got your cage. Sounds like yours went together easier than mine. Did you contact them about sending the wrong colour? Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing your flock in their new home.

Crazy And Cute Birds
Well, I just had to post some of these pics. I was home with my sick son today so spent lots of time watching the birds. Sometimes they are so funny. Beka spends a good part of the day spinning the swing around. She won't go in it, but she grabs it with her beak and sends it around. I'll get video someday. The rest of the day she seems to be ducking. It is really funny to watch! Puddin' spends a good part of the day attached to the side of the cage with her head hanging upside down. My little porcupine. I thought this was a funny poof! Tazzy and Tweety get their first bath - the after pics. And Tazzy just looking like a little doll - couldn't resist posting this.

Here Is The Pic
I wonder if he is a dilute grey - is there such a thing. He really is a fabulous looking bird!!!

Diets
Are the celery and carrots raw or cooked Daz? I've tried both with my guys and they won't touch them. But they love broccoli and romaine. They will devour a broccoli floret in a few minutes. They don't seem to eat anything but seed from dishes though. I have to stick it in cage bars and hang from top of cage. So you don't use pellets? I'm trying to introduce those now. I've ground them with a food processor and put in with seed and then have a dish separate. They don't seem to touch them whole and I'm not sure if they are getting them in the mixed seed as they are more like power and are probably getting thrown out with the husks.

Help Identifying My Birds
Thanks a lot!!! When Star is out of quarantine I'll get a picture of her and Wylie together. And I think you may be right about the clearwing for Beka. I just don't seen a hint of grey on her. And she seems too bright in colour to be a dilute. I'll get pics of her and my two dilutes when she is out of quarantine. Thanks again

Help Identifying My Birds
Thanks Nerwen. There are 4 opalines - Tweety, Star, Daffodil, and Puddin. And to confirm?? Tweety is ?sky? blue Daffodil is a pied - can't remember if it is australian or dutch with her clearflights and pied spot? She does have what looks like some blue tinges of colour around her legs and vent. Tazzy is a recessive pied? And why the difference in yf between star and wylie. To me the blue looks like turquoise in both of them? Not trying to be difficult with these questions - just trying to understand. Thanks again!

They Even Defy Hormone Shots!
Gosh you have been through a lot with these two. Don't feel bad! You have done more than most would for sure!!! I know it will be hard, but maybe finding a new home for her will be the best thing. And fortunately you have a say. Maybe she will thrive in an environment where she is the only budgie. I wish you the best!

Sand Perches
I got a pack with my cage too. I don't use them on the main perches but the small ones in the corner. I find the birds go down and chew off the grit every once in awhile. I don't add grit to their food, so I figure if they need it, there is a little there for them. But my main branches are poplar and dowel. I also have some cement and calcium - my cage is quite big so lots of room for different options.

Kirby, I think you'll have to be patient. The forum is pretty quiet this weekend. I say that it is a male dilute green spangle. These pictures are a little better. The wing markings are hard to tell but there was one shot of the tail somewhere that you could really see the tracing. The cere looks quiet purple/blue vs. white/blue which is what all of my females have.
