  5. That is what I was thinking too Kaz when I looked at her. She also looks opaline can they be both or is that part of the gene doing that?
  6. Oh he sounds so cute Welcome to our boards If you want more taming information here is an article Taming your Budgie from our BBC FAQ's that you can read over . We look forward to seeing pics of your newest addition.

Keep an eye on him if you find his behavior changes like fluffed up, not eating, very quiet I would call the avian vet back. One thing you should do is make sure he is very warm at least over 75F constantly. The warmer they are the better chance they have for fighting off any sickness. Here is from Kaz how to make up a ER hospital cage. You can make one up as an emergency thing by just using a warm lamp outside a small cage and covering 2-3 sides of the cage, in an emergency. what a clutch
  16. Those who know what to look for and have seen a lot of ceres usually around 3-4 wks, for those more inexperienced but can tell before the cere changes around 8-10 wks. The cere will start to change around the 3-4 month mark boy going to blue on regular mutations and a more tan in a female. Males babies will sport a very pink cere and a female will sport a more white pink cere which your baby seems to have. Also females are known to have thicker white nasal rings and boys if they have them are very thin. Let me look for some babies here and show you a female vs male. Here is Steel do you see how pink his cere is vs his sister's cere who is Sapphire in the next picture http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r145/kazzart/MAY098.jpg Here is Sapphire see how her cere is not as pink and her white nasal rings http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r145/kazzart/MAY088.jpg At this time these 2 were just around the 5 week mark and your baby is older and show even more signs of a female though ceres have been known to trick people on the net and even in person. Here is the full post if you want to see more pics of them Kaa'z Babies These 2 are Kaz's babies (hope you didn't mind I used them as examples Kaz)
  17. I think you meant Ceaser is a YF 2 (not 1) because the yellow is throughout her body from her face. opaline hens You will have 50% dominant pieds 50% normals 25% chance of having a white face that is actually a double factor yellow face 75% single factor yellows 100% blues of course there are any recessive genes they both carry and any sex-linked genes that the dad can pass on to his hens if he is split for any.
  18. oh how neat Shawna thank you for sharing those pics
  19. gotcha...so you use one of the mutations
  20. But the DF Spangle is yellow... Feathers. I need more coffee before I start responding I think I like Kaz's ideas if you don't get one you like I will add more :hap: about yellow OF COURSE like Sunshine Sunny
  21. right I was just asking for genetic purposes and because I saw it Would you put in Spangle too in the description for the show or just leave as a Clearwing?
  22. it has been added to the health section and the cage section Thank you Kaz
  23. Sorry if any are taken by Kaz already I can't remember any more For the DF cock The baby name Grey sounds like Garey, Crew, Carey, Corey, Cree, Croy, Gaer, Gary, Garry, Garrey, Gery, Gearey, Gerry, Gere, Gore, Graye, Gerrey and Korey. Other similar baby names are Frey, Greg and Trey. (got this from the name website (Laughing out loud)) because he is grey that is all I could think about :hap:. or Grayson: Grayson has 4 variant forms: Graydon, Greydon, Graysen and Greyson. Baby names that sound like Grayson are Garson, Carson, Garrison, Gerson, Gracian and Karson. Grayson is a very rare male first name and a very popular surname
