Best Taming Method
Taming Your Budgies this is how I tamed my budgies. I wrote up the article because so many people asked about taming. As for the tunneling method I can not speak on how effective it is because I never used this method. It is debatable whether it should be used or not. I have a friend that used the tunnelling method and it worked well for her. I am sure others have here and they can talk about it. In the article there is a link how other's tamed their budgies so you may want to read about that too. Welcome to our forums and we looks forward to seeing pics of your flock.

Our Budgies
Welcome aboard I noticed you said you had a newcomer but I didn't see that you did a quarantine . (maybe I overlooked it or missed?) Quarantine the Importance PLUS.. Quarantine is the best way in protecting your existing birds from the introduction of infectious disease. It is also to determine whether or not the new bird or birds are diseased and then to treat the problem. The quarantine cage is where all new birds are housed and ideally it should be in a completely different room where there is no airborne or physical contact. Recommend days for quarantine are at least 30 days (1 month). Avian Vets recommend 90 days (3 months) for best results as many illness can lay dorminate. It is strongly recommended you quarantine! If you don't, you could lose all your budgies! You have a beautiful flock and I wouldn't want to see anything happen it .

Making A Millet Necklace
(Laughing out loud) to get Pretty on my shoulder I would have him on my finger eating millet and then I would move him to my shoulder as he was eating I would pop him on my shoulder and let him continue to eat it. Then after he got that point I would only hold the millet by my shoulder and he started to jump on. Merlin jumps on too , once they are there you will find that is their favorite spot because it is steady vs your finger. That is what I would try.

Budgie Cere
Just a note too if she could be in breeding condition, where the cere becomes crusty and a very dark brown. So before you treat her make sure it is really scaley face as Aly as a great picture and has explained it well so you should be able to tell the difference. Let us know or even post a picture of her and we are not vets but we can help you out.

Which Pellets - Opinions....
I personally use ZuPreem which was also recommended by the avian vet. I would use anything that is practicial but doesn't have any color dyes and such.
