Trimming The Claws
are they sand for the perches or for the bottom of the cage? Sand perches are not recommended and can actually hurt the feet over a prolonged period of time. On the bottom of the cage seems okay.

Too Much Hormones
I would agree with Macka if you feel that Oz is going to get hurt at least until he settles. Maybe taking Oz out will help the situation. How have you completely rearranged the cage? (I Mean I know how but what have you done with the perches etc..toys)

Budgie Friendly Birds ?
It's never a good idea to mix parrot species in a cage. It sometimes works if you have a very large outdoor aviary. Budgies can be extremely territorial and aggressive toward other birds, especially those that are more docile in nature such as cockatiels. On the other hand, larger birds have larger beaks and can do serious harm to budgies. The risk of these problems is increased if you have birds that are nesting. If you are still planning on trying to mix two different parrot species, please be prepared to house them separately if it doesn't work out. from our FAQ section by eterri

Grey X Purple !lol
She is a violet if she looks that visually purple. It depends of she is a single factor violet or a double factor violet. Again grey can be a single or double factor gene too. Violet is an added color and so is grey When reading about the violet factor it usually darkens up the coloring so your grey bird may be a darker grey they usual. According to grey it overrides any color. It will be an interesting to see what the color of the babies are. If both are single factors then you will have 50% of violets and greys 100% chance of all babies carrying the violet gene if the violet is a double factor None of the birds will be cinnamon unless the dad is carrying the gene and gives it to his females. Any boys will be split. 100% chance of all the babies being grey if the bird is a double factor grey

Example of Cage Set-ups this is a wonderful link from our FAQ section. As Aly said no cage is ever too big . Welcome to our forum.

Regurgitating
The best thing you can do is remove the offending object because this type of behavior though normal can become obessive. Make sure you rearrange the cage 1 a week and you can intro the ball in 1 week. If it happens again then only give the ball to him for out of the cage play or as a reward for stepping up. Pretty loved playing his toy balls too before I got Merlin. Single kept budgies can get obsessed with toys, mirrors etc...so making this interesting, giving them flight time and covering them up to ensure they get 10-12 hours of sleep will help the issue. It did with my boys.

Ways To Stimulate Budgies To Breed?
The article Daz posted is excellent Making sure your hen is mentally ready if very important. You can stimulate her to lay but she may not be ready to have a clutch and it could fail due her not taking care of the chicks right, not laying etc... Patience is best and you will find everything will work out.
