  1. GORGEOUS
  2. could very well be the head structure is very similar
  3. All vets charge to check out your pets you can always call and ask what the cost is in advance. A good avian vet will do a physical exam, gram stain to check for any bacteria, and a poop check along with a weight check. That is the norm for a check-up on a bird for a well visit. For me in the US it costed me around 80 US dollars. Use an avian vet not just a regular vet and you can find one now before your bird is sick is best. We have an avian vet look-up in our FAQ's.

You are right Kaz...the kids are going back to school in 2 days and I will have time to do some snapshot of Mr. Merlin. I have to say he now runs up to me at the side of the cage, I can open up the cage door and put my head right up to him and kiss his chest , he will go on my finger and bit it insanely and then when I talk to him he stopped (Laughing out loud), he can do my whistles and he is trying to talk.

not really he loves to chat him me now since Pretty passed away but everyone else is of no interested to him . Now Pretty was the center of attention boy. Thank you for the compliments.
  15. She is a pretty one. As an adult her yellow may bleed more into her blue and change into a more seafoam type of green the adult plummage usually doesn't look much different but after a molt the birds colors can become more vibrant. Her molt will start when she is around 3-4 months and she will have one every 4-6 months. Since I don't see any black or grey marking on her back I would say she is a clearwing too along with being a yellowface type 2 recessive pied.
  16. Congrats on your find. The runner probably has feather disease that is debateable if it is contagious or not so keep an eye out on your new birds. You made a good decision.
  17. Since he is going to town on his seeds have you gotten the vitamins that you can either put in water or on the seed? You may want to add a little bit of pellet
  18. Good boy Winston and they are looking good

Normals 50% and Spangles 50% Grey is an added factor so in a white (blue) based bird the bird is grey Single factor grey and sky blue would be 50% greys/50% blues Double factor grey would be 100% greys Poppy is split for ino (in a blue base) so if you get any ino's they will be females. Gorgeous birds , I love the phots
  20. keep us updated and when he is better I would work on boosting his immune system during those times of stress.
  21. The YF2 spangle looks like Rose personally but with the yellow instead of white and minus the d. pied. BUT looking at this bird it looks somewhat d. pied.
