What a brave little boy.. Geez there is no way i would be able to lay still enough in that cast, Its so wonderful that he can and maybe wont have to be sedated for the treatments.. Sad to hear about your birds but its for the best and they i'm sure know that, its a positive that they are staying with family and people who know how special the little guys are to you.. I'm glad you like him, he is an excellent teacher.. he has taught Munchkin and Mig and now hes teaching Budgie to talk

He isn't talking as clear in the video as he normally does, he is chucking about a few "I love you's, come on, Cheeky boy, hey Budgie" and obviously "Whatcha dewing" also hahaaa.. He has a sweet little giggle and hes also blowing lots of smooches.. He was saying a very unclear "Cheeky" before he giggled and a short while after that he said a muffled "Munckykinssss" hahaaa I'm never short of entertainment with him about

Just a thought... has your little one been overly stressed or ill at any stage? I'm not sure if its relevant to Budgies but i know it most defiantly is to larger parrots but the feathers can get Stress lines/fractures in the area of growth at the time of the stress.. this causes lines across the feathers to appear and creates a week point at which the feather is highly likely to break.. My lorikeet got stress lines on his feathers due to the rough treatment he got as a bub, his feathers broke in the tail, the wings are still lined but through moulting his feathering up again perfect Just another thought.. (Laughing out loud) sorry I'm just clutching at straws here trying to help and really hoping that its an easy to solve issue your facing :hap: Cheers :beer: Una

They came to stay with me over the christmas period while their owners went on holidays... When they got back they realized that they were more loved at my home than they even were at there own (I had totally re organized there cage and replaced all perches, added toys etc etc as they stayed in it 24/7 although they were REALLY tame ) When they saw how loved, happy and relaxed they were running about with my guys, the deal was sealed hehee

Thought it was well and truly time for me to introduce to you Apple, Munchy and Migs new brother and sister .... Budgie the well ummm Budgie and Harry the female Budgietiel I'm amazed actually how well they all get along actually, although Harry truly believes he IS a budgie.. Poor Budgie has crippled toes as a result of poor perches in his and harrys cage before they came to me.. All they had to perch on was slippery bamboo twigs that were not even as thick as a lead pencil and almost positioned on a vertical angle .. so since he has spent most of his life just trying to HANG ON, his little toes have grown crossed over.. I still love him to pieces though Running about with Miggy.. Having a stand off with Munchy :(Laughing out loud): Little Apple giving Munch what for, for being mean to Budgie Cheers :beer: Una

Oh WOW.. from what i can see (although its fairly limited with the small picture) your bird looks rather interesting Hope you are able to post some bigger pictures soon and also include some of him from behind

Its funny how addictive the stuff seems to be.. Apple just goes absolutely nuts when he hears it popping.. he bounces up and down flapping his wings making weird little piping noises as if hes soooo excited then when he actually sneaks up onto the counter its like hes been starved for the last few months and he goes into this feeding frenzy although he has to try and rip through the bag first Maureena how do you cook yours, air popped or with a little oil? I was thinking that maybe if it was popped with a little Cod liver oil or Safflower oil.. Cod liver oil would give them an additional source of iodine, more vitamins and Safflower oil is rich in essential fatty acids. Just a thought

I'm sure its been asked before but i will ask again anyways just incase... Is Popcorn safe for budgies to nibble on? Only asking as i make it fresh most mornings for my girls to take to school and little Apple goes NUTS when he hears it popping.. a few times hes jumped up onto the bench and nibbled through the bag to get a little bit although i always stop him when i realize..
