Oh My Gosh ... I have a specialist appointment on Tuesday for my Miss 12 who also is believed to have Aspergers.. her life has been very difficult going for so long undiagnosed.. A friend of mine who's son has Aspergers sent me a few books that have been great reading and have helped me to understand Ash a little bit more and i highly recommend them.. Aspergers Syndrome -A guide for Parents and Professionals by Tony Attwood Why does Chris do that? by Tony Attwood (The National Autistic Society) Words will REALLY hurt me -How to protect your child from Bullying.. A guide for parents and carers (The National Autistic Society) Martian in the Playground -understanding the schoolchild with Aspergers syndrome by Clare Sainsbury The last and the first book that i listed are REALLY good reading... Aspergers can be really difficult but with more understanding on how one with it functions and see's the world helps so much..

In a way i hope that it is just dehydration.. although I'm not sure how it could be.. It just seems the better option (other than mites ) .. My poor lil sausage ..

Argghhh i just made a big post and LOST it all Long story short... Ive just been looking at Ketchup and I'm not sure if I'm just now being critical but he is not quite as nicely feathered as the others.. apart from the obvious balding on his head.. his wings are also not as neat as even the youngest ones (Mayo's) .. and he appears to be missing feathers which are instead patches of fluff... perhaps I'm being too critical of him now with worry? Although in saying this.. Ive only just now for the first time found (other than the feathers he eats) what appears to be two small wing feathers.. not flights but those nice little ones that "fill in" hahah i don't know how to explain it.. Here are some pictures of him .. they also show his wings compared to the other bubs and also his bald head.. Actually ill show one of his head only about 4 days ago .. and then NOW .. I hope there is nothing wrong here although somethings telling me somethings not quite right He still has his flights and tail feathers though.. Im at a complete loss..

Other than just the obvious feather loss on this guy they all look and act happy and healthy.. Mayo and Pickles look GREAT with no feather issues, actually off topic but I'm REALLY pleased with how Pickles has come along, he had quite severe splayed legs almost to the point he could only just sit on his belly, leggies out the sides but after treatment you wouldn't have even known he had problems I'm at a loss on the situation and can only really think that Ketchup's somehow rubbing them out when he burrows under the others although Ive never had this happen before and really he must be rubbing bloomin HARD id have assumed hahaaaa he is a silly lil thing though

:rofl: EEK i hope thats not the case as not only does he get fluids from his formula but i also give them water mid feeds with apple cider vinegar.. they do drink quite a lot of water and its one thing i make sure they are kept hydrated (really hot and humid here) .. The other bubs get exactly the same and show no feather loss.. Hmmm I will most certainly keep it in mind though .. thanks

:rofl: Well one of the lil guys I'm having to hand raise has over a period of two days got quite a bald head.. His feathers WERE coming through really nice but only within the last few days hes being plucked or something He is in a cage with two other bubs and he (ketchup) is the oldest.. Is it normal for bubs to be plucking other bubs or are there possibly any other causes for this to be happening? I don't find too many feathers plucked out in the cage although every now and then ill see ketchup nibbling on one that has been reefed out :rofl: It is only on his head that this is happening.. any ideas would be great.. the bubs all do get along really well and are always snuggled up together sleeping.. I was wondering if he was snuggling down just a little bit too keen and RUBBING his head feathers out hahaaaa Anyone had that happen before??

Amusing its showing up with no posts as there were HEAPS and the photos even inspired a whole bunch of others to do "tap bathing" photo shoots :rofl: Oh well I myself haven't seen these photos pretty much since they were posted so its nice seeing them again :rofl: THANKS

This time of year is always hard for me as its my youngest (miss 11's) birthday on the 8th of December also.. She wanted a Wall-E interactive toy and also a WowWee alive lion Cub so we bought both girls (miss 12 also) a Wall-E and Eve interactive toy each (miss 11 will get the lion cub for her birthday) and we also bought them new Mountain bikes for Christmas .. Heaps of other little bits and pieces also not worth mentioning really .. tamagotchi's etc etc ...

Oh WOW!! Might be a silly question but do you know roughly how old that cactus is? did you plant it?.. My mum has some in her garden but they are only little.. she asked me the other day if i wanted any, i said no as they are too prickly for me but after seeing yours in flower.... i may just change my mind ...

I have found the Turqs to be quite nasty mixed in with anything really.. they are VERY territorial and attack quite nasty.. I tried going down that track with great headaches along the way Rosa Bourke's are more gentle in nature, just make sure there is enough room for everyone to have their own "ME" space

:sad: Thanks guys for that.. i don't actually have any intention on feeding the Budgies sunflower seeds, i was just curious as to how it was done.. I don't think mine would even have the brains to crack the husk of one It was just another handy bit of information to store away in case i ever need it one day

How did you serve them? I'm actually curious on this one too.. How would one serve sunflower seeds? ..cracked and whole or ground up or something?

I was actually thinking the same thing when i purchased it.. I do use a lot of their products and also find them great in an emergency as they have often put things on the plane for me to get it that same day which has been at times life saving.. I also know lots of people who SWEAR by the Paswells brand and i do also use quite a few of their products from bird pellets to wallaby formula but i am still unsure what would be BEST for my bubs.. now though with everyones advice on things to add etc to the formulas i feel much more confident .. THANKS HEAPS

Sorry to hear that the antibiotics didn't clear it up but also glad that its not a tumor.. One of my lil guys (Mig) has a really hard lumpy lump on his front that is now in mass as big as he is, its just a matter of making sure hes still eating right, happy and pain free at the moment in which he is.. He still plays and runs with a waddle, sings and enjoys snuggles.. Hopefully your lil guy will be all better soon

Glad to also hear of someone else thats using Neocare to raise chicks on (PHEWW) I was beginning to doubt the product.. I also have ummm whats it called Oh i think its just Paswells Parrot Hand Raising Mix.. any thoughts on which is better OR is there a particular one that you would recommend? .. should i have made a new post for the extra questions? hahah sorry

Okay excelent.. I will look for one or the other tomorrow.. The formula hes having says on the packet it contains Min Crude Protein 21% Not exactly sure if thats good or not though hahaaa I really appreciate the advice.. Ive been telling everyone today about my baby GIRL teehee
