Don't worry you guys. I did ask to have him compared to a show bird. I was thinking more of the american ones but I didn't want anyone to be soft. He is an american budgie, so they do have different standards to the english show budgies. I was wondering. Does anyone ever show american budgies? What is a hinge tail? His tail looked straight in all the pictures.

I didn't expect him to be a showbird. I knew he wouldn't stack up. That's good though. I was really quite curious. Tee hee. Because I haven't been to a show before, I don't really know what they look like or how they are judged. I tried looking at some standards, but found it a bit hard to tell how they worked quite. I like to read how dogs are judged in show rings you see. Does he have any good points? (Laughing out loud)

I'm just curious. He is a pet budgie, so he isn't buff or anything. But I'm curious how he would rank and what criticisms you have for him. Please contribute. I am very interested. He is also a bit fluffy due to fatherly duties. He was a bit grumpy too, all he wanted to do was go and flirt, but mean mummy kept putting him back on the perch.

No I don't think so. She will be six next year. But she is a very good mum and has had no problems since. So I will not be too worried if she decides to have babies with telling me again. (Laughing out loud)
