  1. The cinnamon gene gives her the brownish tinge over her body colour. :grbud:

The female is some sort of pied mutation. It is hard to tell she could be a mix of the two. I would say either a DF or a SF dominant pied as well as a clear flight pied. Due to her lack of markings on the wing. But then she could also just be a recessive pied. If she has no iris rings then she is a recessive pied. If she has two iris rings then she is SF Dom pied. If she has one iris ring and one eye without an iris ring she is a DF dom pied. If she is SF dominant pied half of the babies will be SF dominant pied. If she is DF dominant pied, all of the babies wil be SF dominant pied. If she is recessive pied then depending on whether the male carries that gene, half or no babies will be recessive pied. It is hard to tell from the picture, but is your male green or yellowface blue? Either way, your girl budgie is gorgeous. I saw a male like her in the petshop and I so wanted him.
  3. Squee is such a silly little cutey. She looks so funny chasing after Milly.

  7. Don't worry Hath and Daz. I didn't say or mean that you meant he was ugly, because you didn't.. Don't worry. You did what I asked. Nothing wrong. I appreciate your answers and I'm sorry I made some of you feel akward. Thankyou very much for your replies. :hap: Which part is the mask???
  8. Spangle is a dominant gene. So it will always show up when it is present. All of your babies apart from the normal green (4th picture) are spangled.
  9. Abit off topis but: What happened to that old piece of fuzzy rope that was loved by all in your avairy, Karen?
  10. Yep that is possible. Mauve and violet are hard ones to see.
  11. That is probably because she has a very light body colour and looks to be all yellow. But she is definately a SF spangle I would say a dilute green as well. Very nice colour. Or if she isn't green Hard to tell from the picture. She could be a spangle clearbody But I would still say she is a dilute green.
  12. Gorgeous! I think she is a mauve, double factor dominant pied, full body colour greywing. Because she has one iris ring she is a DF dom pied.
  13. They are absolutely gorgeous!
  14. Yes that is very true
  15. What about the sky blue DF violets. They are visual aren't they?
  16. They are a bit too young to be able to tell their sex yet. Wait until they are each 6 weeks or older and then it is much easier to tell.
  17. Are you zsure your hen is a DF spangle. Because from those babies she would be a SF spangle. What does she look like? A DF spangle is all yellow or all white.
  18. Haha (Laughing out loud). That is hilarious. Poor Ozzy
  19. Yay I'm glad you got him. How did you do it?
  20. She has laid 10 eggs so far!!! :
  21. Shawna. My Arkady is just like that. He can't wait to get otu and go to the big cage. I let him out any way. He will fly over there and hang out for a bit, but he will always go back, and if he doesn't, I make him go back with a piece of millet.
  22. Yes they are known to return. I have replied to your other post on the same topic.
