Any kind of cage that you would get for a normal budgie is fine. However it is probably best not to get a tall one, because if they fall, they fall far. I think you should get the long cage as it would be shallower and nicer to move around in. A really good item for a runner budgie is an exercise wheel, like what mice and rats have. Try to get a diameter over 20 cm (8 inches). I have a runner budgie and she loves the wheel. (she is the yellow budgie in my sig) Unfortunately because she is in a tall cage she falls alot. But she is always fine and i don't want o seperate her from her family. :bluebudgie:

If you don't want birds to breed, don't put a nestbox in. Is the baby cracking seed yet? Put up some millet in its cage as this is easier for them to crack. :bluebudgie:

What do you mean by every baby was almost spangle? Unless, maybe she was a Fallow DF spangle. !!!

I would think that your Lutino was a DF spangle. What colour are her eyes? If they are black with Iris rings then she is a DF spangle.

I just did the same thing for my brother. I gave him one of my baby budgies and he really loves it. He has never had his own pet too. Everything is going well. I think Tim would look after his budgie better than he did with your avairy budgies, because this budgie would be HIS. Even if he doesn't want it any more, it could go with your avairy budgies. And you can keep an eye on it. I think you should give him one. He showed how good he was with Bailee.

Lovely birds. Very cute. Lumi Jack and Moe are very cute. The cere flaking off is very normal. It can happen quite quickly. It mean she isn't in breeding condition anymore.

Although that is a controversial method. It does work. But it depends on the bird. You could try and do things really gradually. Like approach the cage a little closer every day.
