I assembled some new cages I got off ebay and set up another 6 pairs for breeding. The birds in the aviary are in peak condition and dying to partner up. I currently have 30 breeder cages in use. In a nestbox with grey green opaline hen and a grey green normal cock split recessive....I have two chicks. One is a little yellow recessive pied and the other appears to be a grey normal The recessive and the grey NOTE the "split to recessive" spot on his head ?? Two chicks out of the nest today....the grey green spangle in the nest with b*tch but I put it back. and one of the little lacewing chicks...way too soon....so it went back too. Link to comment

I am currently amidst building a new birdoom and fights so I have reduced the flights from two large ones to just one large one and the birdroom has a bit too much congestion in right now until the new one goes up, so I wont be doing photos again until the new birdroom and new flights. This cute little chickie is turning out really nice. Here it is now ... only its nestmate B*tch bit its wing yesterday and it lost 3 flight feathers on its wing. This is a cute little cinnamon green spangle hen that a top breeder gave me when he had had too many glasses of wine that afternoon. She was then 7 weeks old and from his top bloodlines. She is moulting and scruffy but will turn out okay. This nice pair were in a breeder cage but the hen wouldnt play ball so after the budgie show this weekend I will find him another hen and put him down to breed with the new girl Siblings of EARLs clutch of opaline youngsters.
