My budgies don't seem too bothered by the noise, the ones inside just ignore it and i never hear any mad panicking from the aviary.

Looks male to me, his cere looks waxy and smooth and i think females have duller and more rough looking ceres.

Keep her seperate until after she's completely better. I once had a bird with a similar problem a bit like this and it was a sinus infection.

I also noticed that you have 2 budgies, do you have a spare cage? Because it's really important that you separate them. At the vet mention that Pigwidgeon has been with another bird and the vet will probably suggest medicating both of them.

If you want to breed then you should wait until your female is over a year old and in breeding condition. A lot of budgies go their whole lives without breeding so it's not a necessity in their lives. Please watch text shortcuts
  18. At 4 weeks old the dad probably feeds them a lot more than the mum. She wont be in the nest box nearly as much. Are you 100% sure they're not getting fed? Do they have full crops?

You could even replace the new eggs with fake ones now. Do you want more babies?

OMG! Who would be stupid enough to set a budgie free?!
  21. Bea replied to a post in a topic in Cage Discussion
It looks okay. Hard to tell in photos as cages seem to look smaller than they really are. Something to remember if you are building a cage is to make it wide. Height isn't important as budgies fly across rather than up and down.
  22. Good stuff, lots of different asspects to it!

I think my street address would be too much of a mouthful for a budgie.
  24. Bea replied to a post in a topic in Health Questions and Tips
I think you'll find it works out cheaper in the end to get a new cage.

A picture would be really helpful.
