Breeding cage
3 inches high with 2 sides about 4x4inchs square placed on the cage bottom so the chicks can get away from the parents if attacked you can put the soft food on it if you like
-
Breeding cage
that cage will do when the chicks leave make sure they have someplace to hide i use a platform 3 inchs high i usually remove the chicks 8 to 10 days after they leave the nest as long as they are eating okay i would not put them straight into an aviary but another cage and keep them in there for about 2 to 3 weeks to ensure they eat well

Breeding cage
wooden ones are fine all mine are woodjust paint them white i use gloss paint so its easier to clean
-
Sitting in daytime
im afraid these these eggs will be no good now for some reason budgie eggs dont lay dormant as good as other birds say canaries where breeders replace the eggs with false ones and then put the eggs back so the chicks hatch at the same time plus if she is incubating during the day and not at night the embryo will chill and die
-
Breeding cage
no never get stressed i put the cock and the hen in together and try and put them in about 3 to 4 hours before dark keep a close eye on them in case they fight (it does happen but not very often its normally the hen who attacks the female if he doesnt take notice of her) my cages have the nest box on the outside

Inbreeding
i whole heartly agree that inbreeding will be bad for birds but my point im trying to get across is you cant say everything is down to inbreeding untill proven surely.the cattle were an example that they have inbred for 700 years and only got smaller mind you i have seen them and dont think i would like to have seen them
