  1. Wow, I've narrowed it down to two types that I want to breed, not sure if they're the same or not though. Cobalt Dominant pied, or Cobalt Homozygous dominant pied... They're both so cute
  2. Hey guys, I've noticed that Sparta has been getting really lonely lately, so I want what's best for her, so I've decided to give her the job of a breeder (well in about 6-9 months anyway) So she's a cobalt, and I want some fancy variety to come out of her, I'm think the visual violet or something cooler if possible, can someone please tell me what mutation I should breed her with to breed which mutation? Thanks P.S. Remember, I won't actually be breeding her now, because she's only 2-3 months old, (I think she's starting her first moult though)
  3. yeah, humping a toy can be from both males and females 0.o
  4. damn, kinda looked like sparta's cere I'M LOST!!!
  5. Looks like a female to me
  6. Hmmm, Can you tell us the mutation? Because I would be think that your budgie is a boy, but depending on the mutation, I could be wrong, give us a photo
  7. Welcome to the forums kellie
  8. Hey guys, I was just thinking, you know how some budgies have brownish beaks then the normal? Can someone please tell me why this is? Is it just because of their mutation? Or is it just something that the occasional budgie gets? Or is it to do with age? Thanks for the help
  9. Beautiful
  10. Welcome to the forums Linda, hope you find everything you need here
  11. OMG!!! I can't believe that some people have to put up with things like that!
  12. Not really sure if u would actually go this far, but when I was in Geelong, we went to the Adventure Park, and along the way, there was a sign saying Budgies and Cockatiels for sale
  13. This is Disgusting!!! Ellie, do you mind me using the photos on facebook for an anti-neglect for a cause page? I want to make it clear to the world that it is NOT okay to do this Edit: Nevermind, I'll add a link to this
  14. I wonder if Ringnecks are different, maybe not as obsessed with their reflections? I know a budgie can learn that a window is a wall, and not a passageway, when they get used to the rooms they fly in. But I guess I thought this was more of a problem with the budgie being obsessed with the "other bird", not so much about him crashing into the mirror. Maybe, but when you think about it, Mirrors are technically not that different from windows, in the fact that they 'continue' onwards
  15. Welcome to the forums Sweetpea I hope you continue to find everything you need here As for finding a budgie, I personally don't like Gumtree, because a few of my friends have purchased animals from there and it turned out that they were poisoned by the people they bought them from! (this was a couple years back) But don't let that stop you, I personally think that buying from one of our breeders here (no, I'm not a breeder) KAZ breeds quality birds, but she's the only one that I can actually say is from Perth Can't remember who else So many names Hope you find one within the forums
  16. Congratulations Nerwen This is the first ultrasound I've ever seen I take it that the Baby looks like it's lying down with the head to the left and the tiny widdle feet at the right
  17. Sorry, Flip-trainer, this will never work. The reason mirrors drive budgies crazy is because they just can't understand that there is no other bird there. Laurie, can you take him to a different room, away from the mirrors, and away from his cage, for his training sessions? Some room that he is unfamiliar with, so that he comes to see you as his "safety zone". Hmmm... Well it worked for my Uncles Indian Ringneck *.*
  18. I'm not sure how, but try and make him know that the mirror is a wall... like let him go up to each mirror, and let him tap it with his beak, but make sure he doesn't fly into it 0.o
  19. Nice story, did the nurses get sued
  20. Dont know where you got that from ? Me neither
  21. R.I.P Quiche
  22. I'm fairly sure that you can only post other websites if they aren't talked about here or in the FAQs. So you should be fine
