  1. No problems I just thought that it was a bit of a waste of space having a whole section for both the name and egg number It does seem good to have individual comments? So then you can write down any problems like death in shells (or whatever it's called) or hairline cracks or infertile or fertile I hope you like the changes I made to it
  2. Hi, soon I'm getting a package that contains a basic diet that everyone should follow, and then change slightly to their individual birds diet requirements (some budgies need more iron, some need more protein, you get the picture) and I'll be messaging/emailing each individual member of this forum the seasonal recipes, because in the wild, birds eat different amounts of different foods at different season so with all of these, you just make it all at the start of the season, and then freeze it all and use a portion every day For now, feed seeds, fresh fruit/veg, and maye hard boiled egg with shell and wholegrain pasta it is proven, that with most birds, a bird on seed doesn't even live a quarter the age of what it should, moving to a pelleted diet, moves it to half the lifespan, with hard boiled eggs, pasta, veggies, fruit etc. three quarters, and then with this new diet with all this scientific research, should let a bird live to its full I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the information incorrectly, but I do know for a fact, that it changes a birds life and attitude a lot
  3. 14 actually I just came home, so I'll do it up now Edit: okay, here goes imho I think it looks pretty good
  4. okay I'll see what I can do although you won't be getting it fr about 4-5 hours :/ I'm going to my gfs
  5. Hmmmm.... I think it's pretty good, although a few things I might do to it: 1. Where it says egg number, split cell (or whatever its called) and put name there, instead of having it on the other side of the page (it'd look more organized IMHO 2. Obviously delete the name part, because you've replaced it... And replace it with... I dunno... Maybe individual comments? Not sure on that one :3 3. With the dates, it might make for easier filing and reference if you put the year on the top of each page (handwritten) and have the dates as day/month instead of day/month/year Those are my ideas... Not sure if they're really that useful, but you know
  6. Lol Finnie, I wasnt giving advice, I was putting in my Mother's and mine opinions
  7. Maddie, they've grown on a pretty false reputation really, although i suppose it is sort of understandable, they rely on donations, and it's probably easier and cheaper to get a dog in... really they should be funded by the government as well as donations :/
  8. As in for their birds? If so, I have a friend that live literally a two minute walk down the road, well, down the roads She's pretty good with animals, but she is kind of scared of birds. When I get more birds, I'm definitely getting a professional to do it All I need to do, is write down a list of what needs to be done, when to do them, where everything is, and then it's sweet
  9. wow! Try and beat the world record
  10. haha no, we had to do a project on any sort of drug and list the positives, negatives, how it's kept etc... Might of been meant for use by my teacher lol jk
  11. So is Golden Shower trees, but they're poisonous right? But I'd say that it is safe, if it is safely grown etc etc... Marijuana is very prone to diseases if not grown properly... and no, I don't grow my own marijuana, in year 5 I had to do a project on it :3
  12. awwww so cute You won't mind if I fly over to your house and pamper him for a few hours then fly back home?
  13. My Mum was reading this and said Congratulations She also said that "you don't get much time do do anything but the Baby until the baby is "weaned" onto solid foods..." I'm not too sure when babies "wean" but I'm presuming about 6 months? until then it'll just be too hard, and I think that it'd be much easier once she's about 2 years old? I think you should just focus on the baby for until you are comfortable that you have enough time to deal with the birds
  14. Very nice work Dillster!!! I love it
  15. I have warned them that if I don't see clean cages by next week, they will be reported for inproper animal housing, and my parent's have two friends that'll be extremely useful... they say that they could help me and make XXXX a supply only shop and prohibited from selling animals of any kind I told them that in their warning
  16. hmmm.... well, I suppose you could get a reptile heating lamp (if there are any that dont auto turn off) and you'd probably want to connect it up with a thermostat... and to prevent it getting stuffy, you'd probably want some kind of fan
  17. Although you see Cat's drink milk, you don't do it, because they can't digest it... almost the same with birds and cheese, they can digest it, but not very well

  19. wow! I love his colour Makes me want to fly over just to see for myself that it's real
  20. Hmm I never knew that those sized cages were actually used much by budgie breeders! I've only really heard finch breeders use them ! Well you learn something new every day
  21. In my honest opinion, I think the cage is only just big enough, just make sure that as soon as each bird is weaned that they go into a different cage, or you'll have big problems..
  22. I personally would say 10-15 budgies maximum, but then again, that's just me, and that's non breeding... if they're breeding then I'd only have three pairs in there
