My friend loves budgies so I think if my eggs hatch I might give one to her.

I know mine sometimes does it if she thinks I'm giving the cockatiel more attention food wise. Maybe it's trying to get another birds attention.

Thanks! From tommorow onwards they should hatch. My cockatiel is lonely at the moment. We had a windy day and it shifted the cage divider so he got in. He doesn't do any harm and gets along with Skye really well. Unfortunately whn he got into the cage with the budgies he sat outside the nest box peeking at Marigold. Marigold didn't mind because he can't fit through the hole. That was before she layed an egg though. Then he accidently stuck his head in too far and pulled it out, squawking. I noticed that the nest box is on kind of an angle. It seems to be helping Marigold keep them together.

I believe it mean hiking in the bush, which is another name for woods.

Umm. They aren't budgies. They're bourke's parrots. Look it up on the net. I'm a birdwatcher.

I think grey is donimant so you would probably get greys or maybe the odd yellow.

There is no such thing as a pink budgie so I understand. It is simply not in their genetics. Maybe the people were sold the birds recently or something?

You could post pics of the apartment on this thread. The toys look great but do as Kaz said and cut the fringing shoter.

Good there is no sign of infection. If you have any doubt at all take him to the vet. How are chicks going?

And it's a lutino? Male ino birds keep there pink cere's all through life. Yeah, it was mostly the cere. Female budgies wouldn't have that colour cere at that age.
